CDK Global is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Market Research Analyst to join our team
The Senior Market Research Analyst, is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data and research to the company’s leadership covering topics specific to the North American Automotive and Heavy Truck Retail industry. The Senior Market Research will need to have a deep understanding of Auto and Heavy Truck organizational structure, common dealership workflows, business and department goals, and metrics, their associated pain points, and current usage of technologies that support typical dealership operations. The Senior Market Research Analyst, with this knowledge will use secondary research as well as conceive and execute primary research to surface opportunities for the company.
Some of the duties of the Senior Market Research Analyst include identifying opportunities, competitive threats, gathering analytics and preparing scenarios that help the company gauge the potential success of a new features and product offering, surfacing industry thought leadership, and having a pulse on how CDK products and services are being received and utilized by the company’s customers.. Additionally, the Market Research Analyst is responsible for gathering and providing insights on what the competition is doing and what they may be planning to do next.
The Market Analyst is the specialist who helps determine the organization’s position in the marketplace to effectively position and promote the company’s products and services. They research competitors and their marketing methods as well to inform the company regarding key competitive activities and offerings that can impact CDK’s position.
Position Responsibilities & Essential functions:

.Gathering and analyzing data on market trends, customer needs, competitive activities, customer needs to create forecasts and optimize marketing efforts

Interviewing internal stakeholders to define research needs

Interviewing CDK’s customers or in some cases, vehicle shoppers or service customers.

Designing, coding, launching surveys, writing interview guides and conducting interviews

Working with other members of the Research and Insights team as well as other groups within The Company to gather and analyze data using statistical techniques, modeling, and analytics software

Interpreting findings to determine and inform decision makers on possible strategies, competitive threats, and targeted marketing tactics

Creating tables, graphs, reports, and presentations to present findings to senior managers

Assessing the impact and performance of The Company’s strategic initiatives, working with leadership to identify risk and solutions.

Developing and refining processes for data collection, analysis, and presentation approaches.

Building and managing project pages
Qualifications & Job Requirements:
-
At minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in either market research, statistics, economics, math, business/marketing analytics or computer science. A Masters degree in any of these fields is strongly preferred.

Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a market researcher or customer experience researcher.

Advanced skills in mathematics and statistics for working with data and development of models.

Analytical and critical thinking ability

Dexterity working with visual imagery needed to tell a compelling narrative

Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
-
Demonstrated skills working with various research, data analytics, modeling, and predictive analytics

Intermediate knowledge of Qualtrics, Medallia, Alchemer or another highly regarded survey platform.

Communications skills shown through chart development, infographics, and other visual aids.

Problem solving to address the challenges of data collection and analysis and to guide decision makers toward solutions that resolve issues revealed in the data.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including confidence in creating Pivot Tables, running VLOOKUPs, Conditional Formatting, Calculations, Flash Fill

Intermediate Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills
Compensation: $89,000-$110,000
CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location.
