The Senior Market Manager initiates, develops, leads and manages marketing strategies, positioning, initiatives and programs in support of company objectives.

Develops and drives the highest-risk, highest opportunity marketing strategies, working with partners across multiple business operations, such as strategic business units, and across the lines of business as necessary to achieve stated objectives
Identifies business opportunities and manages major business initiatives via initiating research, analyzing market trends, business intelligence, and financial reporting to assess strategic efficacy and program performance
Serves as program owner, accountable for development, design, and execution, and ensures that processes and systems align with strategy
Collaborates with market managers and the communications team to ensure program positioning and promotion are aligned and effective; often directly manages agency resources and consulting engagements. That is, marshaling the appropriate resources required to achieve success
Works closely with senior management to identify market opportunities and develop and prioritize programs that meet company growth, share, and brand objectives
Serve as a central resource for all brand related information and coordinate with business partners in creating and deploying brand-building programs. Educate business partners on brand-related issues and opportunities
Identify segment expectations, behaviors, and attitudes, and use this understanding to develop initiatives that ensure that the customer’s experience delivers on the brand
Identify segment trends and opportunities to understand the changing marketplace and ensure that the needs and priorities of the segments are consistently taken into consideration to keep the company competitive
Establish goals and set targets to measure the success of programs for the market segment
Partner with business areas to execute and gain adoption of programs in the field and at the account-specific level
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Six years of marketing experience, preferably customer-focused experience with a specific market segment. Health care or eye care background a plus.
Experience with program management and leadership skills, including the ability to recommend strategic direction and influence change
Advanced understanding of marketing concepts, theories, and practices
Proven ability to problem-solve, manage multiple projects simultaneously, plan strategically, and adapt to frequent change
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven advanced presentation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Skill to effectively use a variety of communication mediums and customize content for targeted audiences
Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties.

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions. For more information regarding VSP Vision benefits, please click here. 

Salary Ranges: $84,000.00 - $141,750.00
