Job Description: 

Shape the Future of Semiconductor Technology at Intel 

Join Intel's Foundry Technology Development (TD) team as a Frame Cellset Owner (FCO) and play a critical role in advancing semiconductor manufacturing. You'll be responsible for integrating essential scribeline cell; including fab process monitors, lithography alignment marks, metrology targets, and electrical test structures into frame layouts that support product fabrication across all Intel process technologies. 

About This Role 

As a Frame Cellset Owner, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including Process Technology Development, Product Design, Lithography Resolution Enhancement, Design Enablement, Tapeout Operations, Mask Operations, and Virtual Factory teams. Your work will span from early technology development through high-volume manufacturing, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all frame-related deliverables. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Layout Integration: Execute layout modifications based on process design specifications and fab module owner guidelines 
  • Data Validation: Review and disposition design changes using XOR analysis and design rule verification flows 
  • Technical Consultation: Provide frame dimension and field configuration guidance to product design teams 
  • Quality Assurance: Verify scribeline cell placement meets fab process best-known methods and technology specifications 
  • Process Management: Ensure accurate frame data output and validate integrity throughout the tapeout process 
  • Documentation & Communication: Maintain comprehensive records of frame revisions and communicate NPI setup requirements to manufacturing teams via internal platforms

Qualifications:

The Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position Minimum qualifications listed below would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experience and / or schoolwork/classes/research. The preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, or related field 
  • Or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, or related field, with 3+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience 
  • Or Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, or related field, with 4+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience 
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing processes, particularly lithography and metrology 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CAD layout tools (Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre design software preferred)  
  • Proficiency in UNIX computing environments and shell programming

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $115,110.00-219,550.00 USD

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Work Model for this Role
