Job summary
Support and supervise all in-house manufacturing activities
to enable faster new product development and enhance the productivity of
existing parts. This role provides opportunities to introduce and implement
best manufacturing practices, creating value for both self and the
organization. Additionally, empowered to represent the company with customers
in domestic and international markets and make strategic decisions to drive
execution
Requirements
1. Manufacturing
& Process Planning:
Ø Defined
manufacturing processes/operations for machined components by interpreting
drawings with respect to GD&T and tolerances.
Ø Generated
CNC programs using CAM software, and released supporting documentation (process
sheets, tool lists, program sheets) to the development team.
Ø Developed
FA (First Article) parts within specified time frames and handed them over to
production.
Ø Provided
inputs to the process engineering team for stage drawing preparation, validated
stage drawings as per final requirements.
Ø Designed
jigs and fixtures for machining using CAD software; supported production to
achieve required OEE by increasing productivity without compromising quality.
Ø Conducted
and participated in MFIR (Manufacturing Feasibility Inspection Review) meetings
with cross-functional teams, tracked and closed action items.
Ø Owned
allocated NPD (New Product Development) parts/projects and delivered good parts
to internal customers within agreed timelines.
Ø Incorporated
process improvements based on CFT feedback to enhance part quality and
productivity.
Ø Led
route card closure meetings for all NPD parts with cross-functional teams.
2. Cutting
Tools:
Ø Collaborated
with cutting tool experts to select optimal cutting tools and validate cutting
parameters for specific operations.
Ø Supported
the tool crib in achieving the estimated CPC (Cost per Component).
3. ERP
& Traceability:
Ø Uploaded
and maintained required data in ERP systems for parts, fixtures, tools, and
engineering documents.
Ø Ensured
compliance with AS9100 standards and traceability requirements.
4. Quality:
Ø Assisted
in preparing control plans and inspection plans.
Ø Recommended
appropriate instruments and inspection methods to ensure product quality.
5. Process
Ø Good
understanding of manufacturing processes such as milling, turning, grinding,
boring, tapping, EDM, and WEDM.
Ø Exposure
to casting, forging, and plating processes.
Ø Knowledge
of basic quality tools, measuring instruments, and inspection methodologies.

Education
& Experience:
Ø Education: Diploma
(Polytechnic/NTTF/GTTC) or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 8–10 years
of manufacturing experience, preferably in the aerospace industry or low-batch
production environment.
Ø Experience: Minimum
3–5 years of strong experience in CNC programming using NX, Solid CAM, or
Master CAM. (NTTF and GTTC candidates will have an added advantage.)
Ø Hands-on expertise in programming 3, 4, and 5-axis parts
with controllers such as Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Haas, Siemens, WinMax (Hurco), and
Heidenhain.
Ø Proficiency in process mapping for machined parts and
fixture design.
Ø Strong knowledge and application of GD&T (Geometric
Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Ø Sound understanding of inspection methodology and use of
appropriate quality tools/instruments

Skills Required
- Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
