The Role
Oversee calibration, repair, environmental testing, equipment maintenance, inventory, budgets, metrics, and continuous improvement for aerospace manufacturing operations. As a Senior Manufacturing Associate here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the calibration/repair and environmental test group, ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes.

You will report directly to our Senior Quality Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Cambridge, ON location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact on the reliability and performance of our manufacturing operations by managing critical calibration and environmental testing activities that support product quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain calibration and good operating condition of all electronic tests, processes, and leased equipment, minimizing downtime through timely repairs.
  • Manage rental equipment acquisition and monitor usage to optimize rental periods.
  • Implement and track monthly department metrics and continuous improvement activities.
  • Monitor department budget against plans and take corrective actions.
  • Analyze equipment inventory to reduce unnecessary tools and calibration costs.
  • Ensure inspections, labeling, and accurate computerized records of all test instruments.
  • Support lab personnel with test equipment troubleshooting and testing techniques.
  • Design special equipment to support projects and manufacturing needs.
  • Anticipate and plan for future department resource requirements.

Core Responsibilities

  • Inspect and repair furnaces, including salt bath dip brazing pots and heating elements.
  • Perform temperature profiling of furnaces and ovens using thermocouples.
  • Calibrate and adjust temperature controllers and thermal profiles to prevent metal distortion.
  • Maintain mechanical and robotic equipment such as pneumatic hoists and automated transfer robots.
  • Ensure safety compliance of exhaust hoods, chemical tanks, and PPE systems.
Qualifications

The Honeywell Aerospace building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP / CSP / Secret security clearance. 

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School diploma or College in a technical discipline
  • 2+ years’ experience working with processing equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3 years knowledge and experience with AS9100 and/or ISO9001 quality standards.
  • Thermal & Electrical knowledge including high-voltage industrial heating systems, wiring, and pyrometry standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly diagnose mechanical jams, hydraulic failures, or flux-buildup blockages.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols for handling corrosive flux chemicals, molten salt, and high-temperature environments.

The annual base salary range for this position is $52,000 – 70,000 in Cambridge, ON. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
