Artificial intelligence. Enterprise transformation. Customer experience. Workforce strategy. Innovation. Supply chain. Risk. Sustainability. The future of business.

These are the conversations occupying executive teams around the world and the subjects you’ll help bring to life through world-class thought leadership.

Ipsos Strategy3 is seeking an exceptional business writer and editorial leader to transform original market research, executive interviews and complex business ideas into compelling thought leadership that informs, influences and inspires senior decision-makers.

This is a rare opportunity for someone who combines exceptional writing talent with strong business acumen, intellectual curiosity and executive presence — and believes that great thought leadership can shape the way organizations think, decide and act.

As Senior Managing Editor, Business Thought Leadership, you'll lead the development and writing of flagship thought leadership from early research through publication. You'll work directly with clients, consultants, researchers and subject matter experts — contributing to research hypotheses, identifying the strategic story within the findings and translating insights into reports, white papers and executive perspectives that influence business decisions.

This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role for someone who is as comfortable interviewing a CEO as they are digging into the latest developments in artificial intelligence, workforce transformation or the next emerging business challenge. You'll need to learn quickly, ask insightful questions, manage complexity and have the rare ability to make difficult business issues clear, compelling and impossible to ignore.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Develop Exceptional Executive Thought Leadership

  • Partner with researchers to transform complex quantitative and qualitative market research into compelling executive narratives that reveal strategic implications for business leaders.
  • Identify the strategic story behind the data and develop clear, cohesive storylines that connect research, market context and business strategy.
  • Serve as lead author on key publications, writing and rewriting content to ensure it is engaging, intellectually rigorous and relevant to senior business audiences.
  • Bring a strong editorial point of view, continually pushing the work toward sharper insights, clearer arguments and more differentiated perspectives.

2. Contribute to Research Thinking and Emerging Perspectives

  • Stay deeply informed about the technologies, economic forces and societal shifts shaping business leadership and executive decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development of research hypotheses and areas of inquiry, bringing an informed perspective on emerging business issues, executive priorities and the evolving thought leadership landscape.

3. Lead the Editorial Process

  • Manage the end-to-end writing and editorial process across multiple concurrent thought leadership initiatives, from early storyline development through final publication.
  • Develop and manage editorial workplans, milestones and writing schedules in partnership with project teams.
  • Coordinate writers, researchers, consultants, subject matter experts and other contributors to keep work moving and ensure clarity around roles, inputs and deadlines.
  • Lead draft and review cycles, synthesizing and reconciling feedback from multiple stakeholders while protecting the integrity of the overall narrative and proactively addressing risks, dependencies and bottlenecks that could impact delivery.

4. Partner with Clients and Executive Leaders

  • Partner directly with clients throughout the development of thought leadership, helping shape the strategic direction, narrative and executive relevance of each publication.
  • Conduct interviews with CEOs, C-suite executives and industry leaders, asking thoughtful, probing questions that uncover meaningful business insights.
  • Facilitate storyline discussions and review sessions with senior client stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Build trusted relationships through exceptional communication, business judgment and executive presence.

5. Drive Editorial Excellence

  • Provide developmental editing that strengthens logic, structure, storytelling and executive relevance — not simply grammar and style.
  • Ensure publications reflect high standards of analytical rigor, editorial quality, factual integrity and business relevance.
  • Coach writers, consultants and subject matter experts to strengthen their storytelling and writing.

What You Bring to the Table

  1. Experience & Expertise

  • 10+ years of experience in executive thought leadership, business writing, management consulting, corporate strategy, business journalism or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience writing long-form executive thought leadership, strategic reports or business publications.
  • Deep experience interpreting quantitative and qualitative market research and translating findings into compelling executive-level narratives.
  • Experience working directly with senior stakeholders, including interviewing executives and subject matter experts and synthesizing diverse perspectives into a cohesive narrative.
  1. Skills & Capabilities

  • Exceptional writing and developmental editing skills, with an instinct for structure, narrative, clarity and transforming complex ideas into compelling executive-level thought leadership.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical thinking, with the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar industries, synthesize complex information and identify meaningful strategic implications.
  • Executive presence and strong facilitation and interviewing skills, with the confidence to engage senior leaders, ask insightful questions and challenge assumptions.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning about unfamiliar industries, technologies and emerging business issues.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Topics You'll Explore

No two projects are the same. Depending on the engagement, you may find yourself writing about topics such as:

  • Artificial Intelligence, Emerging Technologies and Innovation

  • Enterprise Transformation and Organizational Change

  • Business Strategy, Customer Experience and Growth

  • Future of Work, Leadership and Workforce Transformation

  • Supply Chain, Operations and Business Resilience

Why Join Strategy3?

You'll help shape the ideas shaping business.

Working alongside leading strategists, researchers and industry experts, you'll develop thought leadership that influences executive decision-making within some of the world's most respected organizations. Every engagement is an opportunity to immerse yourself in a new business challenge and create thought leadership that informs strategic decisions at the highest levels.

We recognize that exceptional business thought leadership comes from diverse backgrounds. If you're an exceptional writer with a passion for business, strategy and lifelong learning — even if your career path looks different from the traditional consulting trajectory — we'd love to hear from you.

Application Requirements

To be considered, applicants should submit:

  • A current résumé or CV.
  • Two examples of executive-level thought leadership or long-form business writing that demonstrate your ability to translate complex research and business concepts into compelling narratives. Please note your specific role if the work was developed collaboratively.
  • A brief cover letter explaining why you're interested in the role and what you believe makes great business thought leadership.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a writing assessment and participate in interviews focused on writing excellence, business acumen and client leadership. Applications submitted without writing samples will not be considered.
