Make an impact as a Senior Managing Consultant, Advisors & Consulting Services, Deploy.
Deploy is an execution-oriented client-facing competency that combines implementation expertise, delivery excellence, and industry knowledge to help clients execute complex transformation programs and realize business value.
This role will play a key part in strengthening Mastercard's Deploy footprint across Azerbaijan and the broader CIS region. The successful candidate will support clients throughout the lifecycle of strategic and technology transformation initiatives while also contributing to business development, market expansion, and regional growth efforts.
As a Senior Managing Consultant, you will:
Lead complex payments, digital transformation, and implementation programs across issuing, acquiring, acceptance, and payment ecosystem initiatives.
Manage multiple client engagements from initiation through execution and benefits realization.
Partner with regional account teams, product organizations, business development teams, and Mastercard stakeholders to identify and pursue deployment opportunities.
Support business development efforts including opportunity qualification, client discussions, proposal development, solution positioning, and PEM activities.
Serve as a trusted advisor to financial institutions, fintechs, merchants, and ecosystem participants across Azerbaijan and CIS markets.
Drive project governance, risk management, stakeholder alignment, and executive communication.
Contribute to the development of Mastercard's Deploy capabilities and regional delivery model.
Coach and support junior consultants and project team members while fostering a culture of collaboration and execution excellence.
Travel across the CIS region as required to support clients and business priorities.

Proven experience delivering large-scale transformation, implementation, or consulting engagements within financial services.
Strong understanding of payments, digital banking, issuing, acquiring, acceptance, and related Mastercard products and solutions.
Demonstrated experience managing complex stakeholder environments across multiple countries and business functions.
Ability to identify business opportunities and contribute to client growth initiatives.
Strong program management, project delivery, and governance capabilities.
Experience supporting proposal development, solution design, RFP responses, or PEM activities.
Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment while coordinating across global matrix organizations.
Experience leading or mentoring project teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Fluency in English and Russian required.
Azerbaijani language skills strongly preferred.
Familiarity with CIS financial services markets is highly desirable.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
MBA or advanced degree preferred.
PMP, PMI, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent project management certifications preferred.
10+ years of relevant consulting, program management, implementation, or transformation experience.
Financial services and payments experience required.
Experience working with banks, fintechs, payment service providers, or merchants preferred.
Strong PowerPoint, Excel, and executive communication skills.
