Our role

We are seeking a Senior Manager to join our Private Client and Family office Team to run with the supervision, management and development of a team of Administrators, reporting directly into Senior Management on a varied, fast paced and energetic portfolio of clients.

You’ll be working in the Private Client & Family Office team in Jersey. As a Manager you will play an important role in our delivery of bespoke client services. Our combined efforts help manage, preserve and grow the wealth of our clients, through strong partnership at every stage of their journey. We have a great team and a growing business but need your help to keep the momentum.

Job Specification

  • To have ownership and responsibility for a team of people who administer a portfolio of trusts, foundations and companies
  • Responsibility for the mentoring and training of your team, and ensuring a four-eye principle is applied;
  • Personal Development: ensure continual personal & team improvement in technical & commercial awareness;
  • Acting as a channel of communication for upward and downward feedback;
  • To build relationships with your team, intermediaries, third parties and identified key client contacts so as to be seen as the first point of contact.
  • To identify cross-sell opportunities and services from across the Apex Single Source Solution to our clients;
  • Effective management of working capital requirements of the business, including WIP management including recoverability, billing, prompt fee collection, and effective management of staff productivity & utilisation;
  • Develop excellent client relationships fostering client retention and referrals leading to new business;
  • Meet business targets as established within the risk framework;
  • Maintain awareness of risks involved in administration activity and clearly understand risks involved in activities carried out and with respect to team’s client portfolio;
  • To assist with the client acceptance process, including involvement at a client enquiry stage, and discussion with colleagues on client acceptance considerations,
  • Monitoring and ensuring the team comply with the Company’s Policies and Procedures. Ensuring relevant KPIs are monitored and met on a regular basis
  • Responsibility for maintaining data integrity
  • Proactively identify existing and emerging risks in client portfolio
  • Work with the Client Director to build strong & lasting relationships with clients & intermediaries within portfolio through demonstration of competence, efficiency and knowledge.
  • Demonstrate the ability to create, monitor and maintain effective communication links with clients
  • Manage, meet or exceed client expectations
  • Demonstrate understanding of clients’ needs and issues
  • Actively encourage maintenance of high client service standards from the team and monitor output to ensure consistent quality.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Hold a professional qualification recognised by the JFSC.
  • Have excellent knowledge and understanding of offshore trust and company administration gained through previous experience in similar organisations
  • Proven knowledge of appropriate Jersey legislation and regulation with the ability to demonstrate both compliance, risk and audit awareness.
  • To identify and analyse issues, develop solutions,
  • Ability to motivate the team, initiate and manage change.
  • To present ideas in a user-friendly, business-friendly and technical manner.
  • Prioritise and execute tasks effectively in a fast paced, high energy environment.
  • Have experience of managing and/or assisting in the management of a team.
  • The ability to delegate, coach and mentor members of the team.
  • Act as a role model for other team members and others within the business. Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills.
