Job Description
The role
Support Global Management Teams, Business Development Teams, and Finance Teams in driving the Firm's strategic and commercial objectives through data analysis and business intelligence on business performance and operational data sets. Lead strategy initiatives in analytics and reporting required for client and matter growth, profitability improvement, and business expansion. Analyse current and historical data to provide actionable recommendations by applying qualitative reasoning on the quantitative output. Design innovative and analytical management reporting tools/templates for insights and detailed analysis with quick turnarounds. Manage existing analysis reports and strategic deliverables with the Analysis Team, improving visibility and impact within global stakeholders. Manage a team of 7 people, guiding them through the analytical process, driving collaborations, and operational efficiencies, as well as overseeing training, skill development, hiring, and performance appraisals.

What you will be responsible for
- The entire analytical process – from outlining the type of solution through implementation and interpretation of results.
- Reporting templates, process improvement, and system efficiencies to bring standardisation and improve service quality.
- Developing data-driven processes to enhance finance efficiency, cross-region process alignment, and increased financial analysis capability.
- Engaging with Directors, Pricing Specialists, Client Focus Teams, Business Development Leads, and Executive Teams to drive best practices in utilising business intelligence platforms.
- Participating in skill development, training, and hiring activities of the team.
- Contributing to the evolution of the Commercial Analysis function and working within a global strategic commercial analysis team.
- Developing and driving Tableau, Excel & Power BI dashboards, scorecards, and rationalising reporting utilising multiple data sources.
- Developing flexible solutions to ensure scalability and adaptability of tools and processes.
What you will do
- Manage a 7-member Analysis Team and contribute individually as well as collaboratively to deliver 300+ regular and ad-hoc reports monthly, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Work as part of a highly skilled and knowledgeable team creating a "go-to", trusted, and highly valued function.
- Work closely with Reporting Team colleagues, sharing knowledge and training.
- Manage and own specific projects for the Analysis Team, driving standardisation and operational best practices
Qualifications
Your experience
- Bachelors/master's from Top Tier colleges (Tier-1 Engineering and Management institutes) in a quantitative field like Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Management Reporting & Business Analysis function with Finance and/or analytics supporting teams in a large firm (preferably MNC).
- 4+ years of people and project management experience with a proven ability to establish trust within team members and lead a group to successful implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
- Hands-on professional experience in executing and managing projects involving OLAP, MDX, Cube-formulas, and Tableau/Power BI Desktop is preferred.
- A commercially focused individual with a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong communicator who can explain commercials with sufficient gravitas to influence decision-making.
- Experience in the Legal Industry/KPO/Professional services firm is preferred, ideally in the Finance function.
- Professional experience of statistical analysis methods such as Correlation, Regression, Factor Analysis, Decision Trees, etc., on Python/Advanced Excel is preferred.
- Very strong communication skills, capable of interacting with leads, managers, solution architects, and other technology teams to identify opportunities.
