The Senior Manager, Workplace Operations is responsible for leading the day to day management and operations of Stryker facilities in the Germany, Switzerland and Austria (GSA) and EEMEA region. Reporting to the Director, Workplace Operations (EMEA), this role will serve as the primary point of contact for regional Leadership regarding our workplaces. The Workplace Operations team works to provide well-functioning buildings, safe and sustainable working environments, and workplace amenities that are fit for purpose. The successful candidate will collaborate with Real Estate and Facilities colleagues to optimize our corporate real estate and facilities portfolio to enhance the customer experience, promote employee productivity and engagement, and optimize costs to enable scalability and growth.
The position is based in Poland, with company sites in Warsaw and Skawina. The role offers flexibility, but occasional presence in the office will be required.
What you will doLead regional Workplace Operations teams and subject matter experts across facilities, engineering, maintenance, space utilization, workplace services, and related Facilities Management projects.
Deliver Facilities Management services aligned with company objectives, Real Estate and Facilities strategy, and local regulatory compliance while collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs.
Develop and execute strategic space management plans to optimize efficiency, agility, and occupancy across sites.
Oversee third‑party service providers (facilities, infrastructure, moves, food services, fitness, hospitality, janitorial, mail, etc.) and manage strategic vendor relationships with Global Facilities Management.
Drive optimal utilization of facilities and building services; lead Real Estate and Facilities project support including renovations, expansions, consolidations, and move/occupancy planning.
Manage building operating and capital budgets, including forecasting, variance tracking, quarterly reviews, and regional reporting.
Enhance workplace experience and facility performance through preventive maintenance programs, refurbishment initiatives, best‑practice implementation, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Lead people management: hiring, onboarding, coaching, fostering an inclusive team culture, maintaining landlord/government relationships, and ensuring 24/7 facility coverage.
Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Facilities Management, Engineering, Real Estate, or related field
10+ years’ progressive experience in Facilities Management
Experience leading remote teams that are cross-functional in nature
Strong knowledge of principles and practices of Facilities Management, Project Management, electrical and mechanical systems, construction, EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety), and all aspects of building operations
Proven track record of a service provider partnership in delivery of Facilities Management related solutions
Experience developing and presenting Business Case and Financial Models (BCFM)
Experience with overseeing budgets and financial management
Financial acumen required for analysis and decision-making
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office applications for creating presentations, KPI’s and metrics
Demonstrated record of change management, supplemented by strong organizational skills and an entrepreneurial spirt, couples with the ability to build diverse teams
Demonstrated success as a collaborative and strategic leader, one who fosters a customer
Centric culture focused on engagement and responsiveness
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to teach and coach individuals from diverse background with varying language and technical skills.
