Job Purpose
We are currently seeking a Senior Manager - Workforce Planning to join our National Customer Centre team, based in Port Botany. In this role, you will lead the National Workforce Planning team, ensuring consistent and compliant workforce planning practices. You will manage the delivery of accurate rosters aligned with enterprise agreements and labour budgets. Drive centralised workforce planning and operational decision-making and manage workforce planning systems and vendor relationships to support labour operations.
This is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, with occasional weekend work required to support operational needs.
Key Accountabilities:
Oversee rostering systems to ensure efficient labour allocation, Enterprise Agreement alignment and operational requirements.
Manage day to day team operations, ensuring effective coverage, performance, development, and onboarding of new team members.
Drive process improvements and develop team capability to strengthen service quality and minimise system single point failure
Lead stakeholder engagement to provide labour product updates, address issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsible for system enhancements, outages, and maintenance activities, liaising with key stakeholders, IT, vendors, and terminals to minimise operational impact
Support compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Relevant tertiary qualification or industry related certification.
Previous experience in a planning or scheduling role (logistics environment preferred).
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, and problem-solve high level issues.
Proven leadership and people development capability
Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to teamwork
Experience in working with and interpreting Enterprise Agreements and Awards (desirable).
