Position Summary

We are looking for a talented Senior Manager, UX Design to lead user experience for Signify Health's Scheduling and Execution (S&E) product area. As a player-coach, you will foster career growth and delivery excellence in your team of UX designers while providing design leadership across a portfolio that enables members to schedule visits, helps clinicians navigate routes, and ensures seamless communication.

As we navigate how we’ll amplify our work with AI, you will model the curiosity and adaptation of AI in our work, leading the team to evolve how we deliver value while bringing our design, product, and engineering partners along in this transformation.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the experience strategy and service design for the Scheduling and Execution space, from early-stage research to implementation and refinement.

  • Manage and mentor a small team of UX designers, providing feedback on performance and fostering career development.

  • Serve as a thought leader within the product trio (product, design, engineering), challenging assumptions and using design methodologies to ensure the product vision remains rooted in a human-centered perspective.

  • Facilitate high-impact cross-functional workshops to drive alignment, collaborative discovery, and ideation across design, product, and engineering.

  • In partnership with the team, move beyond feature requests and identify the root cause behind user pain points, aligning on which problems offer the highest value to solve for both the user and the business.

  • Drive a culture of continuous user testing and iterative validation, ensuring that high-risk assumptions—including those involving internal operational tools and legacy architecture—are de-risked through research and prototyping before entering the engineering build cycle.

  • Set the design vision and strategy for your product areas, ensuring alignment with user needs, business objectives, and AI-driven opportunities.

  • Drive the adoption and cultivation of AI-powered tools and methodologies to transform how the design team works and delivers value.

  • Partner with product management and engineering to co-lead the vision, roadmap, and prioritization for the domain.

  • Oversee the design of conversational interfaces, AI-enhanced features, and multi-channel communication strategies to improve clinician and member interactions.

  • Manage resource mapping and prioritize design projects to ensure the team is effectively supporting product delivery needs.

  • Guide discovery and research efforts to gain deep insights into clinician workflows, internal operational tools, and scheduling behaviors, effectively navigating the constraints of legacy architecture and systems.

  • Identify and measure UX metrics for your product that tie to product and business goals and that show a clear impact to the organization.

  • Advocate for the role of design and AI innovation in product and tech roadmaps to protect the team’s focus and quality of work.

  • Drive streamlined design processes and remove blockers to ensure timely delivery in an agile environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience in UX or Product Design

  • 5+ years of experience working independently with clients or stakeholder and designing business

  • or enterprise applications

  • 3+ years of experience leading design initiatives from concept through implementation in a lead capacity, directing the work of other designers, as needed.

  • 3+ years mentoring and supervising employees’ work and career development

  • Experience in workshop facilitation and using design thinking frameworks to solve complex organizational or product challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX, HCI, Interaction Design, or a related field or equivalent experience.

  • Experience or strong interest in integrating AI into the design lifecycle and leading teams through the evolution of AI-driven workflows.

  • Experience in content design, conversation design, or designing for automated/AI-powered communication platforms.

  • Deep knowledge of generative and evaluative research methodologies.

  • Proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping tools. Preferred experience in AI prototyping and development (for example, Claude Code).

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate design and AI strategy to executive stakeholders.

  • Experience in healthcare, clinical workflows, or logistics/scheduling platforms.

  • Strong background in enterprise design thinking and service design, with experience mapping complex, multi-touchpoint journeys for internal users and enterprise-scale systems.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $260,590.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
