Senior Manager, Treasury - Insurance at a Glance....
The Senior Manager, Treasury - Insurance position manages dedicated aspects of the Kraft Heinz global insurance program structures and policies. Reviews complex insurance documents to ensure proper protection for the company. Manages program changes as needed to align insurance coverage to strategic internal initiatives of the Company.
What's on the menu?

  • Manages and maintains the Company's insurance and self-insurance programs. This involves identifying and assessing the risks involved in the business operations, evaluating the adequacy and scope of insurance coverage, identifying potential vendors and negotiating insurance coverage terms and pricing
  • Develops underwriting information from a wide variety of internal and external sources
  • Prepares insurance applications and directs the activities of insurers and insurance brokers in preparation and evaluation of insurance proposals
  • Seeks opportunities for streamlining data collection processes
  • Partners with manufacturing locations to address loss control related to both Physical Recommendations and Human Element Recommendations across insured locations
  • Develops long-term risk reduction action plans to satisfy Kraft Heinz Risk Appetite
  • Acts as liaison to safety/operational risk management departments to assist with loss control, claims and safety improvement efforts
  • Works with legal to resolve difficult claims involving coverage interpretation, jurisdictional issues and structured settlements
  • Develops financial analysis of insurance renewals and self-insured programs to facilitate cost comparisons and decision-making tools for insurance purchasing strategies
  • Acts as a resource for business units on risk management issues involving vendor and supplier contracts as they relate to insurance/risk management
  • Verifies that insurance coverage under issued policies conform to negotiated terms and broker specifications for all insurance contracts
  • Provides ongoing maintenance of policy amendments, endorsements and correspondence
  • Directs services of insurance brokers on policy changes and communicates with Kraft Heinz personnel on coverage and basic concepts of policies
  • Manages process for issuing all insurance certificates annually; handles requests for property and liability certificates of insurance, determines appropriate response and communicates with broker/vendors on the issuance of special certificates
  • Maintains insurance policy digest and risk management policies for distribution to KHC business units

  • BA/BS degree required, insurance designations (CPCU, ARM) are desirable
  • Extensive knowledge of Risk Management Information Systems required
  • 5 years of prior risk management, insurance company or brokerage experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel as well as exhibiting strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business acumen, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to influence cross-functional team members
