The Role

At Tactile Medical, we specialize in developing at-home therapy devices to treat lymphedema, chronic venous insufficiency and respiratory illnesses.

Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Training Instructional Design oversees the coordination and direction of the organization’s training initiatives. This position is responsible for guiding instructional design activities, working with stakeholders to ensure learning programs meet business needs, and fostering an environment of collaboration and professional growth. Through the use of effective practices and relevant technologies, the Senior Manager ensures that training solutions are practical, accessible, and support ongoing employee development across the organization.

Responsibilities and Accountability
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative training programs that align with organizational goals and adult learning principles. Conduct and oversee the instructional design process for key projects including needs assessment, training delivery design/modality, learning objectives, content development, gathering input from subject matter experts and obtaining sign off.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to assess learning needs, identify gaps, and create strategic training solutions.
• Develop and deliver engaging instructional content and training materials for diverse employee audiences.
• Oversee and mentor a team of instructional designers, assigning projects, balancing workload, providing guidance and feedback, and monitoring quality and timelines.
• Facilitate effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and leadership to align training initiatives with organizational priorities.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the training team and across the organization. Identify, promote and facilitate professional development opportunities for the team.
• Champion best practices in instructional design and training delivery, staying current with industry trends and advancements.
• Leverage learning management systems, e-learning platforms, and emerging training technologies to maximize program reach and impact. Promote use of available company training and development content.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and adaptability to evolving business needs.
• Conduct periodic reviews of existing training content to refresh materials and ensure they are up to date.
• Ensure all training programs comply with regulatory, legal, and industry standards.
• Evaluate and enhance curriculum effectiveness using data-driven analysis and learner feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in training, learning and development, or organizational development.
• Demonstrated experience in execution of training programs and development initiatives.
• Experience working cross-functionally with business leaders and stakeholders.

Knowledge & Skills:
• Understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training delivery best practices.
• Strong technical skills with an ability to navigate and master a variety of systems.
• Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS), training technologies, and e-learning platforms preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and influence teams, drive change, and foster a high-performing culture.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and professional growth.
• Familiarity with regulatory and industry compliance standards related to training and development.

Below is the starting salary or hourly range for this position, although offers may differ based on the candidate's location, job-specific knowledge, skills and experience.

US Pay Range
$115,600$173,250 USD
