Pierre Fabre USA is seeking a skilled and experienced 3PL Manager to oversee all activities related to our third-party logistics (3PL) providers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with our 3PL partner, optimizing logistics operations, and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of goods to our customers. Additionally, this role will be responsible for optimizing costs and exploring savings opportunities as it pertains to warehousing and distribution activities.
Essential Functions:
3PL Partnership Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all 3PL providers, fostering strong and collaborative relationships
Negotiate contracts and service agreements with 3PL partners, ensuring terms are favorable and aligned with company objectives
Conduct regular performance reviews and evaluations of 3PL providers to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards
Operational Oversight:
Coordinate all logistics activities with 3PL partners, including transportation, warehousing (to include kitting), and distribution
Monitor and track shipments, inventory levels, and order fulfillment to ensure smooth and efficient operations
Implement process improvements and optimization strategies to enhance the efficiency and reliability of logistics operations
Prepare and initiate an RFP within the first couple of months of starting in the role
Quality Control and Compliance:
Establish and enforce quality control measures and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain the integrity of the supply chain
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including safety regulations and customs procedures
Conduct regular audits and inspections of 3PL facilities to identify and address any compliance issues or quality concerns
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Constantly review Cost-to-Serve (C2S) with the intent of developing cost savings measures without sacrificing quality of service
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of 3PL partners and track progress against goals
Generate regular reports and analysis on logistics performance, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data-driven analysis of 3PL operations
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as procurement, inventory management, and customer service to ensure alignment and coordination across the supply chain
Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement and innovation in logistics operations

Competencies:

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s Level Degree a plus)
Proven experience in logistics management, with specific experience in managing relationships with 3PL providers
Knowledge of National Account compliance requirements a must (Target, Amazon, Ulta, CVS, Walgreens - or similar accounts)
Strong understanding of logistics processes and best practices, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in logistics and supply chain management
Proficiency in ERP and Excel is required. MS Dynamics experience is a plus
MUST have experience in running an RFP process with vendors
Work Environment / physical demands / position type and expected hours of work:
This job operates in a clerical, office setting with weekly on-site meetings at the warehouse. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary
The normal working hours are from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
This is a hybrid environment and will include 2 days per week in the 3PL’s DC and 1 day per week in the Pierre Fabre office
