The Senior Manager, Technical Program Management Office is responsible for managing a team of 15 - 20 Technical Project and Program Managers, ensuring delivery of corporate initiatives while also supporting leaders internal to Technology. Working in the SAFe Agile framework, this role will coordinate the intersection of traditional program management and agile delivery. This role will work closely with leaders from across the company including Senior Management and C-Level executives. The role reports to the Vice President of Technology Enablement and Strategy within the Corporate Technology team. The success of this role depends on the individual's ability to manage multiple concurrent strategic programs, coach and mentor team members, provide reliability and traceability for work, and communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders at multiple levels across the organization.
* What you will do:
* Set standards and drive consistency of best practices across the project portfolio
* Accelerate value delivery through a focus on efficiencies and execution
* Report on overall status of work in a consistent and ultimately systematic way
* Develop the skills of program management and agile ways of working within the team
* Develop leadership and communication skills to ensure clear visibility into the work products
* Manage a team of 15- -20 Strategic Program Managers to deliver on the transformation activities and governance needs of CDW
* Manage the risk register across programs and value streams to mitigate issues before they impact delivery
* Monitor the addition of new tools and services to ensure value streams are kept current and modified when necessary
* Track budgets across program efforts to ensure fiscal controls
* Identify areas for continual improvement and learning that drive increased value to the company ​
* What we expect of you:
* Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of project management experience with 3+ years of managerial experience, OR
* 14 years of project management experience with 3+ years of managerial experience.
* Proven track record engaging with senior executives to drive strategic initiatives across functional areas
* Ability to lead large teams and provide project management coaching to individuals
* History of balancing competing priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while
* SAFe certifications (RTE, LPM). a plus
* PMI certification, a plus
* Experience in Business-To-Business Marketplace, a plus
* Master's Degree, a plus
* Engage with Portfolio Management and Engineering teams to provide regular updates and ensure alignment between strategy and execution
