Sr. Technical Product Marketing Manager at Sumo Logic

The Opportunity: Join Sumo Logic as a pivotal Technical Product Marketing Manager, where your expertise in Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, observability, and security will shape our strategies and offerings.

What You'll Do:
Spearhead the expansion and integration of OpenTelemetry and other cutting-edge open source technologies into Sumo Logic's portfolio, enhancing our capabilities in delivering top-tier observability solutions.
Play a key role in the successful roll-out of OpenTelemetry features and Sumo Logic platform updates to the App Catalog, leading the go-to-market strategies that encompass product positioning, messaging, demos, and more.
Develop and maintain robust technical value propositions, creating a wide array of supporting materials such as website content, blogs, datasheets, ebooks, demo’s, how to’s and comprehensive solutions documentation. This includes creating highly technical and in-depth guides, glossary pages, video content, and whitepapers.
Work closely with the competitive intelligence team to conduct market analyses, influencing product roadmap decisions and creating resources for sales teams, including battlecards.
Represent Sumo Logic as a thought leader at industry conferences and meetups, focusing on topics around DevOps, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to craft engaging and informative demos that effectively communicate Sumo Logic's value proposition.

Requirements:
A seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, Sales Engineering, or similar roles, preferably in a company focusing on Developer Tools or Data Analytics.
Deep intellectual curiosity, backed by a degree in a STEM field or extensive experience in Software Engineering or API Development, including familiarity with software engineering frameworks, Cloud services, and DevOps practices.
A passion for technology, with a thorough understanding of modern system architecture, cloud computing, and open source technologies.
Exceptional written communication skills with a track record of producing high-quality written content.
An engaging presenter capable of captivating an audience.
A portfolio of publicly available written samples or recordings of technical presentations.
Fluency in at least two programming languages (e.g., Ruby, Python, Go, Bash).
Comfortable with modern infrastructure elements like IaaS cloud services and container technologies.
A proactive learner, keen on exploring and educating yourself about new technologies and languages.
Experience in writing or managing server-side software.
Ability to convert complex technical topics into compelling, informative, and easily digestible educational materials.

Sumo Logic Privacy Policy. Employees will be responsible for complying with applicable federal privacy laws and regulations, as well as organizational policies related to data protection.

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $161,000 - $218,000. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings, and equity awards.
