Amadeus Mobility and Travel Protection Business Unit defines the strategy for Amadeus Mobility and Travel Protection products and drives their promotion and adoption worldwide. Our technical platform brings together travel sellers looking for non-Air travel content, such as Car Rental, Pre-arranged transfers, Insurance and Travel Protection Services, and the providers of these travel products.

Summary of the role:

As a Senior Manager for Sales Engineering in the Americas region, you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of Amadeus Mobility and Travel Protection distribution solutions in North and South America. This role requires you to have leadership skills, strategic vision, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with large travel agencies and airlines, C-Level stakeholders, and internal teams.

In this role you’ll:
  • You will be managing a team of pre-sales engineers.
  • You will be collaborating with the Travel Sellers account managers and customer success managers to retain top customers and grow adoption of Mobility and Travel Protection distribution solutions.
  • You will need a deep understanding of the customers, product strategy & portfolio and industry trends.
  • One aspect of your role is to ensure customer satisfaction and collaborate with the Product Managers and Development teams to ensure product evolutions are closely aligned with customers’ strategy.
  • You will work closely with teams in charge of the Mobility and Travel Protection providers to ensure relevance and quality of available content for these top customers.
  • On the pre-sale side, you will engage in consultative selling for Mobility and Travel Protection distribution solutions with top prospects identified by Sales teams.
  • You will manage end-to-end RFI and RFP process for Mobility or Travel Protection requests, ensuring high-quality customer-aligned responses and presentation of Amadeus Mobility and Travel Protection value proposition to senior customer/prospect leadership.
  • You will represent the Business Unit as an industry expert at key internal and external events, sharing thought leadership on market trends and innovations while showcasing the value of the Amadeus Mobility and Travel Protection solutions.
About the ideal candidate:
  • Great communication skills in English.
  • 10 years of experience in technical pre-sales roles
  • Strong management and collaboration skills
  • Very good presentation skills (experience in travel industry events appreciated)
  • Travel and Car Rental industry knowledge is a plus
  • Growth mind set
  • Computer science engineering degree or related; or equivalent work experience.
