We seek an experienced Senior Manager, Technical Accounting to join our innovative team. You will oversee the development, implementation, and communication of our accounting policies, ensuring compliance across our global operations. Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on complex topics, including business combinations (ASC 805), revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), software capitalization, stock-based compensation (ASC 718), and other complex non-routine transactions.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of company-wide accounting policies to ensure consistent application across the organization and alignment with evolving accounting standards.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance, interpretive analysis, and disclosure recommendations to ensure compliance with US GAAP and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with business and functional leaders to evaluate the accounting implications of strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, new product launches, commercial arrangements, and international expansion activities.
  • Prepare, review, and document technical accounting analyses, including position memos, journal entries, and related financial statement disclosures.
  • Collaborate closely with external auditors to align on accounting conclusions, support audit reviews, and resolve technical accounting issues.
  • Support the preparation and review of financial statements, including complex footnote disclosures related to technical accounting matters.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to finance and accounting team members to strengthen organizational knowledge and promote accounting best practices.
  • Support internal control design and SOX compliance activities related to technical accounting processes.


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 8+ years of professional experience with a mix of audit and experience in one or more of the following: Technical accounting for a public filer, SEC reporting for a public filer, Audit firm’s National practice, relevant Advisory experience
  • NetSuite experience is a plus
  • Active CPA license
  • Strong technical accounting expertise. Experience in US GAAP technical accounting research and drafting technical accounting position memos. You love to get technical!
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to drive to conclusions on technical matters and convey complex concepts to a variety of audiences, including our auditors, management and business partners.
  • Strategic business partner. You should be able to explain technical concepts to non-accountants.
  • Effective Cross-Functional Partner. Proactive relationship builder who invests in getting to know cross-functional partners and listens to understand what’s most important to them. Works to establish trust, reliability, and partnership with folks across our business.

Skills Required
