Job DescriptionThe opportunity
This is a high-impact role at the centre of Group Finance, where you’ll shape how accounting is applied and understood across a global business during a 12-month contract.
Joining during a key period of transformation, you’ll play a critical part in strengthening accounting policy, improving reporting consistency, and supporting our exit readiness programme. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the Group, bringing clarity to complex accounting areas and helping embed practical, scalable solutions.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll operate as the go-to expert for technical accounting while also leading key finance projects:
- Provide expert guidance on complex or unusual transactions, translating IFRS into clear, practical decisions
- Develop and embed Group accounting policies, ensuring they are understood and consistently applied across all business units
- Lead inventory accounting standardisation, including costing methodologies and documentation
- Partner with senior finance leaders to challenge, influence and improve reporting practices
- Deliver transformation projects, including standardising reporting structures across the Group
- Identify and implement improvements to processes, systems and reporting – focusing on long-term, sustainable change
What we're looking for
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience applying it in practice
- Solid experience in group accounting (industry or practice)
- Experience in manufacturing or inventory accounting (e.g. costing, absorption, overheads)
- Confidence working with and influencing senior stakeholders
- A practical, solutions-focused approach – able to turn technical complexity into clear action
