Team missionOur FP&A team drives GetYourGuide's sustainable growth through strategic financial planning and data-driven insights. We partner with leadership across the company to make smarter investment decisions and measure what matters. As a key member of this team, you'll be at the forefront of shaping our strategy, leading planning efforts and influencing critical financial decisions that propel our company toward its objectives.
ResponsibilitiesBased in our Berlin headquarters and reporting directly to the Head of Tech & Strategy FP&A, you will be the primary finance partner for the Technology organization. You will bridge the gap between financial performance, product investment and operational data, ensuring that our engineering and product investments drive measurable business outcomes. This role combines deep analytical rigor with strategic oversight, offering you the opportunity to shape how a fast-growing travel tech leader manages its technology footprint and leverages data.
Your mission- Strategic Business Partnering: Partner with Product & Engineering leadership to drive effective investment trade-offs and optimize capital allocation. You will guide the business in prioritizing initiatives, ensuring resources are steered toward high-impact areas that drive tangible value. You'll build trusted relationships with senior leadership, helping translate complex trade-offs into clear recommendations that inform the technology roadmap.
- Product Initiatives & Performance: Track and analyze the performance of our product investments and strategic initiatives. You'll design frameworks that connect engineering decisions to business outcomes - whether it's measuring the impact of new product features or tracking overall portfolio health. Your insights will help leadership identify and steer investments towards our next growth opportunities.
- Marketplace Insights: Collaborate with the Analytics team to deepen our understanding of marketplace drivers and champion analytical enablement across the company. You will leverage these partnerships and a suite of AI tools to transform complex data into actionable insights that challenge assumptions and improve how we make decisions.
- Data Infrastructure & Reporting: Partner with Data Platforms to evolve our data foundations, including dashboards, reports & tooling to enable FP&A to deliver fast, reliable insights and robust operational reporting.
- Planning & Forecasting: Lead the forecasting and budgeting processes for the Technology organization, ensuring business-owned budgets adapt to changing needs. This includes managing Operational Expenditure (Opex) and driving the planning for complex variable costs like Payments & Fraud.
- Experience: You have significant experience (ideally 5+ years) in FP&A, Analytics, Consulting, or similar roles within fast-paced technology companies. Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, or Data teams is highly valuable.
- Analytical Skills: You have strong analytical abilities and a data-driven mindset. You're comfortable handling complex datasets, building models, and connecting operational metrics to financial results. You understand the drivers behind the numbers.
- Technical Proficiency: You're comfortable with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) and can analyze data independently. You're eager to leverage AI and LLMs to accelerate your work and generate deeper insights. SQL or coding skills (e.g., Python) are a strong plus - they'll help you dive deeper and collaborate seamlessly with technical teams, though your main focus is on generating insights and driving business impact.
- Communication: You can translate complex data and financial concepts into clear, actionable messages. You're skilled at synthesizing technical details into business implications for diverse audiences.
- Collaboration: You're a proactive partner who builds strong relationships across functions. You thrive working with Tech leadership, Analytics, and Data teams to drive shared goals.
