JOB SUMMARY
Primary responsibility for managing the preparation of federal, state, and local income tax work papers and corporation and partnership tax returns.
Develops processes and procedures. May include tax technology oversight and management responsibility.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review federal income tax work papers and returns for Company.
Review other reports including annual and quarterly income,
franchise, and tax.
• Communicate with IRS and other governmental authorities and
auditors to resolve tax issues.
• Provide advice, assistance, and guidance to field and other
departments on tax related matters including; relocation,
corporate structure, employee benefits, educational assistance,
payroll, sales & use taxes, and information reporting.
• Assist in development of corporate tax policies
• Conduct federal and state income tax planning to minimize tax
liabilities.
• Research and review tax law changes. Disseminate information to
finance, accounting, management, and other department
personnel as needed.
• Report tax related information to appropriate accounting
personnel.
• Assist with year-end reporting for external auditors.

• Ensures appropriate staffing to meet department needs
• Utilizes recruiting and selection tools/processes to build organizational
talent
• Delegates work according to employee’s abilities and skills
• Evaluates employee’s performance and plans for compensation actions in
accordance with that performance
• Provides developmental opportunities through identification of internal and
external training opportunities
• Creates opportunities for employee growth
• Provides continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership
standards (technical skills and behaviors)

REQUIRED EDUCATION
• Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• CPA License or Masters in Tax or Accounting required
