The Senior Manager, T&G Finance plays a key role in supporting the financial aspects of the company’s transformation and growth agenda, with financial oversight and value assurance for major restructuring and transformation programmes. As the dedicated finance business partner for ESG and Strategy, the role provides financial support for selected strategic projects, target setting, forecasting, performance management, investment assessment, and management reporting. Your Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Monitor transformation programme performance, including costs, savings, value delivery, milestones, and forecast accuracy; escalate material deviations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide regular financial performance reporting, variance analysis, and forward-looking insights on costs, headcount, investments, benefits, risks, and opportunities.
  • Act as the primary finance business partner for the Transformation, ESG and Strategy functions, building trusted relationships and providing proactive, decision-relevant financial advice.
  • Lead the annual target-setting, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for the broader Transformation and Growth function.
  • Translate strategic priorities, ESG commitments, and operating plans into clear financial assumptions, resource requirements, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
  • Develop, review, and challenge business cases, including scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, NPV, ROIC, payback, and other relevant value measures.
  • Support prioritisation and resource-allocation decisions by assessing strategic fit, affordability, execution risk, financial impact, and expected business or stakeholder value.
  • Partner with ESG stakeholders to evaluate the financial implications of sustainability commitments, regulatory requirements, ESG data and reporting needs, and value-creation initiatives.
  • Support the development and tracking of ESG KPIs and connect non-financial performance indicators to financial outcomes, risks, investment needs, and long-term value.
  • Partner with Strategy to support strategic planning, market and competitor analysis, scenario development, portfolio choices, and financial assessments for senior leadership discussions.
  • Prepare clear, concise financial materials, insights, and recommendations for senior leadership and relevant governance forums.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews of transformation, ESG, and strategic initiatives to compare actual outcomes with approved plans and capture lessons learned.
  • Ensure compliance with financial governance, internal controls, Management Authorization Limits, and applicable approval requirements.
  • Coordinate with FP&A, Accounting, ESG Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, and other relevant teams to ensure consistent assumptions, reliable data, and effective execution.
  • Drive standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement of planning, reporting, and performance-management processes.
  • Perform the required Business Planning and Analysis activities for the Transformation and Growth function and provide ad hoc financial analysis and support.
What you’ll bring to the role:Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification is a plus.
  • 6–8 years of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, business partnering, strategic finance, controlling, or a similar analytical role.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, performance management, business-case development, and senior-management reporting.
  • Strong financial modelling, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting transformation, ESG, sustainability, corporate strategy, or strategic planning activities is preferred.
  • Ability to translate complex strategic and non-financial topics into clear financial implications and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong communication, presentation, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global, and matrixed environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, financial planning and reporting tools, and project-tracking tools.
  • Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or another dynamic and regulated industry is a plus.

Compensation Structure & Criteria: 

Sandoz compensation is determined by job level, qualifications, niche skills, experience, and location within company salary ranges. Fully proficient and highly effective employees can expect a starting salary around market median, with those new to the level or with less functional depth at the lower end of the range and those with sustained superior or niche skills towards the higher end of the range. Internal equity and external market data inform our range placement. Annual salary reviews consider performance outcomes, market alignment, and business needs. 

  • Job location: Holzkirchen, Germany
  • Starting pay range: EUR 83,200 - 154,400 ​
  • Variable compensation: 15% performance-based bonus
  • Additional benefits include: 30 vacation days per year (in full time), 1.200€ vacation payment (in full time), €40/month in capital-forming benefits (in full time), company pension, flex-hybrid working 50% per week in the office, access to our learning & development platforms Skillsoft & Learnlight, Access to our employee share program “OurShare”
