Position Summary
Owns global API supply evolving into DP and FG planning to ensure continuity of supply across external manufacturing. Builds supply plans aligned to demand, capacity, lead times, yields, and inventory targets and maintains disciplined governance for assumptions, parameters, and auditability. Leads constraint management and scenario modelling to support timely decision-making and escalation. Coordinates execution with Manufacturing / CMOs, Sourcing, Quality, CMC / MSAT, and Logistics to mitigate risks and protect downstream supply. Drives continuous improvement in planning accuracy, master data quality, and performance metrics.
 

Key Responsibilities

API Supply Planning & Governance

  • Develop and maintain API supply evolving into DP and FG plans together with inventory targets, own planning cadence, assumptions, and parameter governance
  • Maintain master data accuracy and plan traceability (lead times, yields, batch sizes, safety stocks)
  • Produce deliverables such as API supply plans, parameter governance logs, and inventory targets / reviews
     

Constraints, Scenarios & Risk Escalation

  • Lead constraint identification and scenario analysis, recommend mitigations and trade-offs with timelines
  • Escalate supply risks with options and coordinate recovery actions with CMOs and internal stakeholders
  • Produce deliverables such as constraint dashboards, scenario packs, and recovery action trackers
     

Continuous Improvement

  • Track planning KPIs and drive improvements in planning processes and data quality
  • Identify recurring sources of variability and coordinate corrective actions with partners
  • Produce deliverables such as KPI packs and recurring-issue RCAs / action plans
     

Required Qualifications

  • BS+ (Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related)
  • 7–10 years manufacturing supply planning (API / chemical / pharma experience strongly relevant)
  • Strong ERP / MRP / APS capability and analytical problem-solving
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with external manufacturing governance and long lead-time materials
  • Experience in pharmaceutical / biotech supply planning environments (preferred)
     

Key Competencies

  • API supply planning, inventory optimization, and parameter governance, plan traceability, and auditability discipline
  • Constraint management, scenario modelling, and mitigation planning, trade-off communication, and escalation timing
  • Partner governance and performance coordination across CMOs and internal stakeholders, recovery execution follow-through
  • Cross-functional leadership, escalation, and executive-ready risk / decision communication
  • Systems / data fluency (ERP / MRP / APS), KPI tracking, and continuous improvement of planning accuracy

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7–10 years of manufacturing supply planning experience
