POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Manager Supply Chain leads the Co-Man (Contract Manufacturing) function and critical functions of the Procurement function for the company, reporting to the Director of Supply Chain. This highly visible leadership role ensures development and execution of procurement strategies, savings portfolios, and supplier management programs to support the manufacturing network. Additionally, this role manages co-manufacturers as strategic suppliers to ensure cost, quality, and service objectives are achieved.
This role is both strategic and hands-on to building the team, improve systems, and focus on strategic partnerships (supplier and Co-man) to ensure successful execution, cost-efficient performance, and reliable supply to our valued customers. The position will lead a team with responsibilities across both procurement and co-manufacturing operations and will work cross-functionally across the business to ensure alignment with supply chain, operations, quality, sales, inventory, SIOP, and innovation/marketing.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, or equivalent experience.
Must have at least five (5) years of experience in field related to Procurement / Co-Man
Must have at least three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
Must have CPG Food manufacturing experience
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
High level of analytical ability, to resolve complex problems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
CPSM or CSCP certification preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Defines the Procurement and Co-Man strategy, in collaboration with the Director of Supply Chain, to achieve company goals and objectives.
Develops and executes plans of action and oversees implementation of sourcing and supplier management strategies.
Develops continuous improvement strategies to optimize Supplier/CoMan performance, cost efficiency, and cross-functional effectiveness.
Establishes and reinforces KPIs to measure supplier performance, procurement efficiency, and contract manufacturing effectiveness
Deep understanding of managing, hedging, and analyzing commodity markets and buying related to the supply plan for Hawaiian Host / Mauna Loa products.
Measures and assesses Supplier and Co-Man capacities in network and ability to support future growth.
Oversees the sourcing strategy and supplier negotiations for all procurement categories including raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and manufacturing supplies.
Reviews, negotiates, and approves all purchase contracts and supply agreements to ensure favorable terms, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity.
Leads supplier relationship management to ensure alignment with company expectations in cost, quality, and service.
Identifies sourcing opportunities, cost savings initiatives, and risk mitigation strategies across the supply base.
Responsible for ensuring procurement activities meet quality standards established by the FSQA team.
Indirectly oversees the transactional aspects of procurement and purchasing.
Oversees Contract Manufacturing operations by managing co-manufacturers as strategic suppliers within the procurement framework.
Leads negotiation and management of Co-Man contracts, including pricing, capacity, and service expectations.
Ensures co-manufacturers meet performance expectations related to cost, quality, delivery (OTIF), and compliance.
Partners with FSQA to ensure food safety standards, quality requirements, and regulatory compliance are maintained across all co-manufacturing partners.
Takes an active role in ensuring Food Safety is the first priority, including participation in FSQA audits and oversight.
Works with internal teams to ensure proper material coordination and inventory availability to meet production and delivery requirements.
Supports identification and onboarding of new contract manufacturing partners to meet capacity and business growth needs.
Collaborates with cross functional teams to ensure alignment and efficiencies in the procurement and demand planning process.
Identifies, establishes, and manages internal and external stakeholders related to the procurement and supplier performance.
Supports innovation initiatives by partnering with cross-functional teams to source new materials and manufacturing capabilities.
Ensures effective communication and coordination with suppliers and co-manufacturers to support business objectives.
Leads, develops, and supervises a team of direct reports with responsibilities across procurement and contract manufacturing.
Ensures direct reports have clear expectations, appropriate resources, and support to accomplish assigned tasks.
Provides ongoing coaching, guidance, and development opportunities to build team capability and performance.

Travel could be up to 40%
Travel to supplier and co-manufacturing locations to support relationship management and operational oversight
