General Summary

The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing IT & Telecom will lead category management activities, including the development and execution of sourcing strategies for IT and telecommunications spend areas. This role involves Strategy creation and implementation, RFx development, competitive bid analysis, contract negotiation, and strategic supplier management. The individual will collaborate closely with business partners to align sourcing initiatives with organizational priorities and optimize internal processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead category management for IT and telecom areas including specifically hardware and telecom, including sourcing strategy development and supplier performance management.
  • Utilize e-sourcing tools to support sourcing activities and data analysis.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and implement sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct market research to inform category strategies and sourcing activities.
  • Conduct risk management activities and process improvement initiatives.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including executive business reviews and follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Optimize sourcing workflows and processes to improve delivery timelines and reduce costs.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of strategic sourcing principles and supplier relationship management, specifically in IT and telecom.
  • Proficiency in e-sourcing tools and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects effectively.
  • Strong collaboration skills to build and maintain business partner relationships.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a 4-year college or university.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of sourcing experience, preferably in IT and telecommunications within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or supply chain professional designation preferred.

Pay Range:

$126,400 - $189,600

Disclosure Statement:

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
