The Strategic Planning Sr. Manager plays a key role in shaping the future of our Behavioral Health business—one of the fastest-growing and most critical areas within healthcare. This role partners closely with senior leadership to define and execute strategic priorities, evaluate growth opportunities, and translate insights into actionable plans. Blending strategy development with hands-on execution, this position offers broad exposure across the business, including product strategy, partnerships, and enterprise initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver who can connect data, market context, and business needs to inform decisions and drive impact.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Support development of the organization’s strategic direction, with a focus on growth, performance, and long-term value creation within Behavioral Health
- Partner with senior leaders to shape and advance strategic priorities, including preparing executive-ready materials and facilitating decision-making
- Evaluate new business opportunities (e.g., partnerships, new products, and strategic investments) through structured analysis and business case development
- Lead and support strategic initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring alignment, momentum, and measurable outcomes
- Synthesize insights across multiple sources (market trends, internal performance, and stakeholder perspectives) to identify opportunities and risks
- Assess competitive positioning and evolving industry dynamics to inform strategy and differentiation
- Conduct financial and operational analysis (e.g., revenue implications, cost drivers, utilization trends) to support key decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., clinical, product, network, operations) to drive alignment and deliver on strategic initiatives
- Contribute to a high-visibility portfolio of work with regular exposure to executive leadership

- 6-8 years of experience in strategy, consulting, product, healthcare, or a related field

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$67,900.00 - $199,144.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
