Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
 
As the Senior Manager, Specialty Sales - Canada, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the future of Arc’teryx’s Specialty Wholesale business across Canada. You will be a strategic advisor and cross-functional partner, guiding how our brand shows up in specialty retail environments in Canada in Snow, Trail & Climb. Your influence will elevate the Specialty channel through strategic planning, partner enablement, and internal alignment.

You will lead, coach and develop a team of Territory Managers to execute on the Canadian Specialty strategy to ensure our product, storytelling, and service are aligned with the long-term strategic plan. Your leadership will help shape the future of wholesale in Canada, ensuring that every guest interaction reflects the Arc’teryx brand values and community.

This role can be hired remote. Business operations occur on PST time zone.

The North American Commercial team is accountable for delivering sales through all local channels. We meet the guest where they are shopping and ensure Arc’teryx is represented consistently and at its best. As the retail landscape changes, we will work together to evolve our approach with creativity and teamwork.

If you were the Senior Manager, Specialty Sales - Canada now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Leading and executing the strategy for Specialty Sales in Canada in alignment with the long-term strategic plan
  • Leading and developing a team of Territory Managers to drive profitable growth and meaningful partnerships for Specialty partners
  • Building and nurturing relationships with Specialty retailers to continue the Arc’teryx legacy and elevate our representation in their communities
  • Setting seasonal objectives that support best-in-class in-store presentation, service and brand partnership
  • Taking the lead in the go-to-market process, contributing to the regional strategy for Canada specialty to support initiatives in Snow, Trail, Climb, Footwear & Women’s
  • Partnering with trade marketing to create and execute on seasonal strategies to drive best-in-class partner experiences
  • Owning team budgets, travel and expenses to drive accountability to monthly P&L
  • Collaborating with demand planning and allocations to create and execute on accurate forecasting plans
  • Travelling across Canada to support go-to-market success and strengthen partner relationships (20-30% travel commitment)
  • Advising on new business opportunities and long-term vision planning

  • Working with the Commercial team to discover new business opportunities, identify new ways of working, and scale best practices developed with an entrepreneurial approach

Are you our next Senior Manager, Specialty Sales - Canada?

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • You have 8+ years of experience of related experience, specifically with exceptional people leadership and best in class strategic account management
  • You are an excellent people leader, capable of motivating and engaging a group of people to drive collaboration and common goals in your area
  • You have experience in all forms of distribution including owned retail development and growth, partnership branded retail, and wholesale development
  • You have a passion for best-in-class service and delivering an exceptional experience for guests
  • You are a strong communicator in both written and verbal communication and can formulate and articulate strategies and concepts
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and are comfortable dealing with diverse personalities
  • You are a strong advisor with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at a global level
  • You have excellent organizational skills, analytical ability, and a track record of strategic planning
  • You have excellent decision-making skills and are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with unwavering commitment
  • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
  • Willingness and availability to travel, and work weekends or holidays, depending on the needs of the business
