What you will do
The Senior Manager, Sourcing (Hybrid), will lead assigned sourcing areas and supplier performance initiatives supporting the Endoscopy Business Unit NPI Team in San Jose, CA. This role requires both strategic thinking and tactical execution in a highly matrixed global environment. The successful candidate will partner closely with R&D, operations, quality, and finance to drive supplier capabilities, support new product development (NPD) programs, and deliver business results through supplier alignment, cost management, and performance optimization. You will obtain the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management. Additionally, this role will manage the onsite team for sourcing in the Flower Mound, TX, communications business units. You will lead the development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities, suppliers, projects and products in support of overall divisional business unit objectives You will formulate and implement processes to build a best-in-class strategic sourcing organization. You will develop and lead cross functional teams and lead the process to create strategic commodity plans, consolidation strategies, and spend/supply assessments taking into account total product life cycle needs.
Leads sourcing analysis and selection process and performs cost analyses and make vs buy analyses as required and advises others on selection/cost analysis.
Leads development of contract strategy. Negotiates, establishes, monitors, and enforce supplier contracts and agreements.
Develop strong partnership relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the businesses
Partners and develop relationships with senior executive leadership at strategic suppliers
Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans including market assessments, supplier's financial assessments, social responsibility, environment, ethics etc.
Obtain and communicate market condition information and technology trends related to commodities and suppliers.
Utilize market trends to identify and implement appropriate cost controls and business strategy changes
Collaborate across functions, divisions, and campuses to develop sourcing strategies and key supplier scorecards and business reviews
Organize and lead scorecard review meetings and business reviews
What you need
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply management, business, finance, engineering or related field
10 years in supply management with focus on strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier development; preferably in medical devices or other highly regulated environments
Strong knowledge of supplier processes and supply chain risk factors including experience in assessing and mitigating risk in the supply base
Strong negotiations skills negotiating and implementing commercial contracts to include: supply and quality agreements (QAA)
Experience with supplier metrics & measurement methodologies and supporting systems
Must be willing to work in a result based, fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision
Travel: 20-30% to include international

Lean Six Sigma Certification
Experience working in regulated industries, including government, medical technology, and pharmaceuticals.
Experience leading NPD and sustaining procurement strategies.
