We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager with an eagerness for technology, people, projects, data and processes. Hardworking leaders with depth and breadth of technology experience who can encourage the team and guide it towards success.

The Infrastructure product organization drives New Relic’s customer facing infrastructure monitoring experiences, agents, integrations across AWS, Azure, and other cloud services, initiatives building New Relic’s next generation platform capabilities, as well as vulnerability management and security testing capabilities in our nascent but fast-growing product security business and Synthetic Monitoring.

The role is in our Synthetic Monitoring capability as part of our Digital Experience Monitoring providing customers ability to monitor applications by simulating users – directing the path taken through the application. You will lead a team of engineers and drive thought leadership, build and ship enterprise ready products, improve operational excellence across services you own, develop engineering talent, and support the exponential data growth and demand of our customers by providing innovative ways to operate and analyze their most important applications!

What you'll do
* Lead and grow a team responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of New Relic's platform
* Coach and mentor a committed group of engineers so that they can develop further their personal and professional abilities and be engaged and motivated
* Drive technology decision making, process efficiency and engineering excellence
* Ensure the success of software projects through the planning and execution phases within and across teams
* Collaborate with multi-functional teams to align product and business goals
* Implement processes and methodologies that foster operational excellence
* Serve as a domain expert in areas of data governance, transparency, and accuracy for New Relic's consumption-based business model.
* Drive the recruitment, training, and development of top-tier talent in the region.

This role requires
* 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams
* Strong experience in Software Engineering
* Proven track record as a technology leader and of leading and scaling strong technical teams.
* Experience in handling client’s incidents, diving deep and understanding the technical implications and risks of a decision
* Working on Large scale distributed systems and data processing and APIs
* Hands on with Java or other programming languages
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience of delivering product / solutions in Cloud environments

Bonus points if you have
* Experience with Observability tools
