Senior Manager – Front End Engineering (Angular/React, Microfrontend Architecture)
Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Front End Engineering to lead the design, development, and delivery of modern web applications using Angular or React with Microfrontend architecture. This role will be responsible for managing front-end engineering teams, driving technical strategy, improving development standards, and delivering scalable, high-performance user experiences.
The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, deep expertise in front-end technologies, and hands-on experience in building enterprise-grade applications using reusable components, distributed front-end systems, and modern engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage front-end engineering teams to deliver high-quality web applications.
- Define and drive front-end architecture strategy using Angular or React and Microfrontend architecture.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, UX designers, and backend teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Build and promote reusable UI components, shared libraries, and design standards across teams.
- Oversee the implementation of modular, independently deployable front-end applications.
- Ensure best practices in coding, testing, security, performance optimization, and accessibility.
- Guide teams in CI/CD implementation, release management, and DevOps integration for front-end applications.
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and mentor engineering managers, team leads, and developers.
- Drive engineering excellence through agile methodologies, performance metrics, and continuous improvement.
- Support hiring, onboarding, team development, and capability building within the front-end organization.
- Work with stakeholders to prioritize roadmap items and ensure on-time delivery of projects.
- Stay updated on emerging front-end technologies and recommend improvements aligned with business goals.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with strong focus on front-end engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in engineering leadership or people management roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Angular and/or React.
- Proven experience designing and implementing Microfrontend architecture in enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and responsive design principles.
- Experience with component-driven development and modern front-end build tools.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, API integration, authentication, and web security best practices.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of performance tuning, browser compatibility, and accessibility standards.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
- Experience with Module Federation, Webpack, or similar tools for Microfrontend implementation.
- Experience with Node.js, Next.js, or server-side rendering frameworks.
