We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Software Developer to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Senior Manager of Software Development at ICON, you will lead a team of developers responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge software solutions that support clinical research operations. You will play a key role in driving innovation, ensuring the quality of software deliverables, and fostering collaboration between development teams and other stakeholders.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Leading the software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation, testing, and deployment of high-quality software solutions.
  • Managing and mentoring a team of software developers, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of projects.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, IT, and clinical operations, to gather requirements and align development with business objectives.
  • Ensuring software solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with regulatory standards relevant to clinical research.
  • Driving continuous improvement in software development practices, tools, and methodologies, implementing best practices such as Agile and DevOps.
  • Monitoring project progress, managing risks, and resolving issues to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, applying them to improve software development processes and outcomes.
Your Profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile) is a plus.
  • Extensive experience in software development, with a proven track record of managing development teams and delivering complex software solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices, including Agile, Scrum, and DevOps.
  • Experience with modern programming languages and frameworks, such as Java, Python, .NET, or similar technologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentorship and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the ability to navigate technical challenges and provide solutions that meet both business and technical needs.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive alignment on development objectives.
