Strategy, Data, and Analytics (SDA) is a department of 200+ members focused on firm-wide strategic decision support, cross-firm segmentation and personalization, client behavior diagnostics, market research, client loyalty, management reporting, and other related responsibilities. Our mission is to help Schwab serve our clients and cultivate loyalty by understanding and activating on client needs, goals, and behaviors.

The Segmentation Enablement and Client Data Strategy Team (SEEDS) is a newly developed function within SDA that serves as the foundation for how we will create differentiated experiences for our clients. As segmentation and personalization is now a top-line, firm-wide priority, this new function will be responsible for charting the vision for how we treat our clients to drive loyalty, aid clients along their financial paths, and scale our solutions to meet ever increasing client needs for many years to come. The team is responsible for delineating client populations, illustrating their needs via first party data and other methods, highlighting how example treatment strategies could reasonably influence behaviors, and sizing our expected potential impact. We leverage close, collaborative working relationships with our business partners to understand how our systems and data work today and to imagine ways we could be more efficient and effective in segmenting and personalizing experiences in the future.

The main goal of The Segmentation Strategy Senior Manager will be to advance then deliver on business cases utilizing Schwab data/impact to maximize win/win monetization most efficiently. We'll identify opportunities for delivery through current data and channel delivery systems to provide incremental wins while highlighting and assessing future capability development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver high-impact presentations in PowerPoint and clearly communicate methodologies and results in a concise, easy-to-understand fashion to drive action.
  • Act as a Strategist for the Segmentation Enablement team: understand the potential client populations for proposed differentiated treatments, determine impediments to identifying those client populations today, form proactive approaches to address those challenges, and execute quantitative analyses to inform business decisions.
  • Leverage analytical models, such as customer segmentation, experience impact analysis, and test and control designs to evaluate business decisions and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to gather requirements, hypotheses, identify success metrics, and determine feasibility of analyses in current and future states.
  • Work aggressively toward designing optimal solutions to support both short- and longer-term priorities, with solutions ranging from traditional to more modern, interactive business intelligence and analytic tools.
  • Develop subject matter expertise around key Schwab systems, products, and client populations.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to deliver best-in-class solutions.
  • Build strong partnerships with business partners to align, prioritize, and integrate our efforts.

This is a hybrid position, working out of one of our service center locations

What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, or related field.
  • 7+ years of full-time related work experience.
  • Advanced PowerPoint experience required.
  • Experience working with data, the ability to analyze data, and leveraging analyical models to evaluate business decisions is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to understand bridge the needs between the Business units and Technology partners.
  • Willingness to flex based on team needs in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to develop concise and effective presentations tailored to specific audiences.
  • Strategy or Management Consulting experience highly preferred.
  • Superior creativity in problem solving and attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship building and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional teams.
  • Comfort in a dynamic, fast-moving, Agile, and highly matrixed work environment.
  • Experience working in the Financial Services industry a plus.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
