Bring anime to fans worldwide—on time and in the languages they love. As Senior Manager of Scheduling Operations, you'll lead a team that ensures Crunchyroll's content launches smoothly across SVOD, AVOD, EST, theatrical, and home video platforms. You'll be the main link between media supply, localization, content acquisition, programming, and delivery operations, translating contracts into applicable schedules and ensuring compliance while maximizing global release impact.
What You'll Do
Content Scheduling & Operations
- Oversee global SVOD scheduling with accuracy across all platforms
- Maintain and improve scheduling databases and tools, including Airtable
- Turn acquisition contracts into launch timelines and release plans
- Research content availability to set optimal release dates
- Refine scheduling with automations and workflow improvements
- Collaborate with engineering and operations to adapt systems to our needs
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and coach your Scheduling Operations team
- Set clear OKRs, KPIs, and development goals
- Guide the team through growth and change with clarity and support
- Communicate updates and standards to ensure agreement
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Be the Scheduling Operations expert in systems, acquisitions, and deal analysis
- Lead and contribute to cross-functional meetings, anticipating scheduling challenges
- Balance competing priorities to meet business needs without sacrificing accuracy
We are considering applicants available to work a hybrid schedule, with three days each week onsite at our Los Angeles office.
About YouWe get excited about candidates, like you, because you have a proven track record managing content launches across multiple platforms (SVOD, AVOD, linear, EST, theatrical, home video)
- You have 8+ years in media or entertainment scheduling, rights management, and data governance, including leadership experience
- You excel at leading teams, mentoring, and driving collaboration through change
- You thrive as the central link between cross-functional teams, ensuring schedules, workflows, and launches stay on track
- You're organized, communicate clearly, and skilled with Google Suite, PowerPoint/Keynote, Airtable, and workflow tools
- You have hands-on experience leading software, system, or process implementation projects
- You're passionate about anime, Japanese culture, pop culture, or fandom
- A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- You can travel as needed
