Job Description Summary:

The SAP Finance Sr Manager will be part of the IT team that supports the Finance organization and, specifically, the tax department globally. Leveraging both your comprehensive SAP-related experience on purchase and sales transactions as well as tax knowledge, you will play a critical role in leading and managing the end-to-end integration of Vertex indirect tax products with SAP Financial Systems, from initial tax requirements gathering to deployment, including solution design, configuration, testing, training, and post-go-live support. The analyst works closely with the Tax Technology Director and a wide variety of internal stakeholders in the full range of the product development cycle.  

You will make recommendations to management based on cost/benefit findings and participate in the development and customization of products. Individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge in a specific area; ability to execute highly complex or specialized projects.  

 

What You’ll Do for Us:   

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Tax Team and clients, effectively translating tax requirements into product functionalities and fostering strong client relationships.  
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of the product roadmap by working closely with product managers and business stakeholders, evaluating user feedback/needs, and assisting the Tax Technology Director with evaluating the latest tax and technology trends that can bring value to the tax function 
  • Organize and lead requirement-gathering sessions with the business stakeholders and translate them into technical user stories    
  • Manage design, configuration, and testing of the required solution to meet business requirements.   
  • Possesses a strong understanding of the business operations within the product domain   
  • Work with the production support team from an operational standpoint to support the investigation and resolution of any product defects   
  • Manages scope, budget, presentations to IT/Business, daily standup, agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, and retrospective sessions   
  • Coordinate execution and implementation of approved projects within the area of responsibility in order to execute tactical and strategic business plans    
  • Orchestrate the deployment of resources (e.g., people, infrastructure, financial, informational) from Coca-Cola (e.g., client, internal service providers) and third parties in order to ensure successful project completion    
  • Develop and execute a communications plan (e.g., memos, letters, plan review meetings, status lists) to ensure frequent, accurate, and timely communication to all stakeholders and to solidify commitment to the project plan    

 

Qualifications & Requirements:    

  • 5+ years of configuration experience in SAP FI, SD, and MM with a focus on Indirect Tax determination in each of these SAP modules  

  • Strong understanding of the different types of tax and ability to configure tax codes in SAP and/or Vertex or other 3rd party tax applications 

  • A high-level functional or technical knowledge of tax engines (e.g., Vertex products) and service offerings 

  • 5+ years of experience managing and delivering mission-critical, high-availability large and small IT development projects using structured project management and system development methodologies.   

  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative problem-solving skills, ability to listen to and understand needs across diverse stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

Pay Range:

$138,200 - $161,500

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
