Responsible for leading execution of commercial growth strategy through data-driven insights, sales process improvement, and cross-functional initiative delivery. Coaches analyst-level talent, validates analytical outputs, and translates complex insights into practical guidance for sales leadership and field-facing teams.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Implements the company's organic growth strategy, including identifying growth opportunities, prioritizing initiatives, and setting clear targets and measurements.
Partners with cross-functional teams to align field sales initiatives, channel strategies, change management efforts, and other commercial priorities with overall company strategy.
Optimizes commercial processes and tools, including pipeline reporting, account assignment, customer analytics, and sales performance routines.
Leads data-informed analyses, pressure-test assumptions and outputs, and ensure recommendations are accurate, actionable, and decision-ready.
Translates complex analytics, insights, and recommendations into clear, practical guidance for senior leadership, cross-functional partners, sales leaders, and other field-facing audiences.
Structures ambiguous business problems and guide analysts through investigation, iteration, synthesis, and recommendation development.
Champions a culture of transparency, service, and continuous improvement. Supervise, coach, and develop analyst-level talent, providing direction, feedback, and quality control across analyses and deliverables. Mentors and develop a high-performing team across Sales Strategy and Analytics.

Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Education and Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Strategy, Business Administration, Sociology, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex insights for business and field-facing audiences.
Demonstrated ability to coach analytical talent, structure problems, validate outputs, and improve recommendations.
Strong analytical judgment, including the ability to pressure-test commercial analytics outputs before they inform business decisions.
Proficiency and comfort with AI prompting, including validation of outputs.
Demonstrated ability to lead with resilience, ownership, and sound judgment through ambiguity, iteration, and evolving business priorities.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
In-depth understanding of the distribution or construction industry, market dynamics, and customer needs.
