Job Description

The S&OP Manager is the strategic broker that aligns our commercial ambitions with our operational capabilities. Your mission is to lead a monthly collaborative decision-making process that synchronizes sales forecasts, financial goals, and inventory targets into a single, unified execution plan. You will bridge the gap between "what we want to sell" and "what we can deliver," ensuring Motorola Solutions remains agile in a dynamic global market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Forecast Accuracy: Develop and implement advanced forecasting processes to achieve best-in-class accuracy, minimizing supply chain "gyrations" and improving stability.

  • Inventory & Financial Optimization: Partner with Supply, Demand, & Inventory Planning teams to hit inventory targets and mitigate Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) risks, directly impacting the company’s bottom line.

  • Strategic Roadmap Execution: Manage a 24-month planning horizon, ensuring that long-term strategic goals are translated into actionable operational tasks.

  • Continuous Improvement: Architect and execute a multi-year roadmap to transition the S&OP process, connecting different business units and improving process maturity.

  • Global Collaboration: Coordinate with regional demand and supply teams to adopt global best practices while maintaining the flexibility needed for local market nuances.

Critical Success Factors

  • Proven leader who is action oriented and motivated to drive change.

  • Passionate about driving improvements and deploying best practices with an evolving, performance-based environment.

  • A self starter requiring little oversight or direction.

  • Thrives in an environment that requires influence of others through a combination of analytics and relationship building.

  • Ability to work globally and navigate cultural sensitivity and awareness of the appropriate leadership style for a given geography.

  • Works collaboratively across a complex organization considering end to end impacts, can scale leadership to work effectively with Senior management and line-level employees.

  • Maintains the highest levels of personal and professional integrity, ethics and unquestioned integrity in each of his/her initiatives.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including effective use of presentations.

  • Ability to summarize complex topics into simple and relevant factors for leadership.

  • Analytical acumen; obtain, organize, and draw insights from multiple data sources.

  • Experience driving cross-functional alignment through S&OP or consensus planning processes.

  • Oracle or other ERP/APS software experience and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required.
