Senior Manager, Sales Operations
Novanta, Precision Manufacturing

Novanta’s technology enables life‑saving medical devices and advanced manufacturing. This role sits at the center of how we commercialize that innovation.
You will lead Sales Operations execution and act as the business owner for AI deployment across Salesforce and SAP.
Role Summary- Own sales operations, forecasting, and SIOP demand planning
- Lead AI-enabled automation across commercial systems
- Influence senior leaders with insight, not static reporting
This is a hands-on leadership role with real ownership and accountability.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Operations and Sales Incentives
- Business owner and admin lead for Salesforce within Precision Manufacturing
- Own pipeline quality, forecasting accuracy, and weekly pipeline reviews
- Lead SIP mechanics, quota modelling, territory design, and attainment tracking
- Build and maintain Power BI reporting for pipeline, productivity, and performance
- Identify revenue gaps and challenge assumptions with data
Revenue Operations
- Own pipeline-to-forecast and bookings-to-revenue models
- Maintain commercial master data governance across Salesforce and SAP
- Produce live-data commercial performance materials for QOR
SIOP Demand Planning
- Own the demand side of the monthly SIOP process
- Chair the monthly demand review and consolidate sales, product, and market inputs
- Maintain and present an 18‑month rolling demand outlook
- Upload demand signals to SAP weekly for MRP consumption
AI and Commercial Systems
- Design and deploy automated commercial workflows without IT dependency
- Own Salesforce AI capabilities including forecasting and opportunity scoring
- Maintain an automation and analytics backlog
- Build SOPs and training to ensure adoption in daily operating rhythms
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or similar
- 3–5 years in Sales Ops, RevOps, or commercial analytics in B2B manufacturing or technology
- Strong SIP administration experience including quota and attainment modelling
- Hands-on Salesforce configuration and reporting experience
- SIOP or S&OP demand planning exposure preferred
- Power Automate, Copilot Studio, or commercial AI experience strongly preferred
- Travel up to 10 percent
The salary for this role will range from $115,000 - 155,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, education, etc. Certain roles may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives. Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
