Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Cohesity is seeking a Senior Manager of Sales Engineering to join our world-class team. As the Senior Manager of Sales Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our sales efforts by providing exceptional technical leadership and expertise.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:

  • Leading the Technical Sales team in Japan.

  • Working with the Japan Country Manager and the APJ CTO to define and execute on the technical go-to-market plan for Japan.

  • Accountability for the business performance of Cohesity’s solution offerings portfolio in Japan

  • Ensuring the effective positioning of Cohesity’s solution offerings to our customers in Japan.

  • Leading the technical engagement with Cohesity’s channel partners in Japan.

  • Working as part of the International Technical Sales Leadership team to define and execute the technology engagement lifecycle for the Geography.

  • Assuring the effective delivery of post-sales technical services in Japan.

  • Leveraging Cohesity’s global technical community – including Technical Sales, Engineering and Product Management – to support customer and partner engagement in Japan.

  • Acting as Cohesity’s “CTO” for Japan, with direct, senior-level engagements with customers, partners, analysts and press.

WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Fluent written and spoken English and Japanese language

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a technical leadership role, preferred in an IT vendor similar to Cohesity (i.e. subscription-based soft-ware/SaaS)

  • Experience in the following technical areas required: Storage, Backup, Virtualization, Linux CLI, IT infrastructure, cyber-security

  • Additional experience highly desirable in: Disaster Recovery/Business Continuance, Database Protection and Recovery, Distributed Systems, Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Layer 2 Networking and Firewalls, Scripting/Automation, Visio or equivalent application

  • Excellent communication and project-related skills are also required

  • Strong verbal communication/presentation skills

  • Self-starter with excellent organization and time management skills

  • Strong collaboration skills and experience in leading effective meetings to achieve project goals

  • The ability to manage projects and to drive to a deadline

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making.

    Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
