Prudential plc unveiled a new strategy in August 2023 – “Next Prudential”. It is centered around three strategic pillars: 1) enhancing customer experiences 2) powering distribution with technology and 3) transforming the health business model. The role of the Group Health Team is to set the health strategy for Prudential as a whole and ensure alignment of the local business unit health strategies to this Group strategy. The team will also provide support to the LBUs as they execute on the agreed strategy and build the required health capabilities.

In support of the expansion of the Health business, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Sales Enablement at the Group Health level, to lead the design and execution of the Health sales enablement strategy (across all markets in which Prudential operates) whilst partnering closely with the Customer, Distribution, Operations and Technology functions both at the group and local business unit (LBU) levels

Role and Responsibilities

  • Health Distribution Activation: Work closely with distribution channels and members in the Local Business Unit (LBU) Health teams to drive health distribution activation and develop new ways of enabling distribution of health products.
  • Training Programs: Collaborate with Training teams in LBUs to design and deliver impactful training programs that equip distribution teams with the necessary skills and knowledge specifically on health. 
  • Sales Performance Tracking and Analytics: Develop and implement sales performance tracking systems to monitor, analyze sales activities and outcomes, and identify opportunities to improve sales.
  • Cross-Selling Opportunities: Identify and implement cross-selling opportunities to enhance customer lifetime value across diverse product mix.
  • Agency Compensation Model: Partner with Local Business Units to review and design effective agency compensation models that incentivize performance and align with health business objectives.
  • Sales Incentive Programs: Work with LBUs to design sales incentive programs including recognition and convention trips, that motivates agents to sell more health products.
  • Center-Led Sales Enablement Initiatives: Lead the execution of center-led sales enablement initiatives across markets
  • Training and Sales Toolkits: Design and develop training and sales toolkits at center-level that can be adopted by Local Business Units
  • Product Design Collaboration: Partner with the proposition team to ensure products are designed with distribution needs in mind, facilitating effective sales strategies.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization, promoting best practices and thought leadership

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualise and develop a clear roadmap for sales enablement
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders including CHOs, CAOs, marketing, operations, training, to ensure alignment of support for sales initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate distribution enablement objectives, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work with multiple markets
  • Ability to drive effective execution of sales enablement initiatives and ensuring stakeholder alignment, in partnership with other teams 
  • Ability to identify innovative ways to digitalise sales experience through partnerships with technology companies or other related partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree or working experience in Business, Marketing, Health Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in sales enablement, sales training, with a focus on health insurance.
  • Experience working with insurance agency and/or bancassurance is a must
  • Experience working with distribution channels and understanding of health product distribution preferred
  • Proven track record of successful change management
  • Experience working with geographically diverse teams
  • Experience across multiple Asian markets preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office
