About the Role
This is a high-impact leadership role sitting at the heart of our Data & Analytics function. You will shape and drive the risk and control environment across a complex, fast-evolving landscape, partnering with senior stakeholders to ensure robust governance, regulatory compliance and effective risk management.
You won’t just oversee frameworks — you’ll influence decisions, drive accountability and create meaningful change.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3 risk professionals
- Create a high-performing, accountable and collaborative team culture
- Act as a role model for strong risk and conduct behaviours
Risk & Control Framework (RCSA)
- Own and drive the end-to-end Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process
- Partner with stakeholders across Data & Analytics to identify, assess and mitigate risks
- Ensure controls are robust, effective and aligned to risk appetite
Issue & Remediation Management
- Lead the lifecycle of self-identified issues from identification through to closure
- Conduct risk analysis and assess impact against risk appetite
- Work closely with SMEs and business leads to define practical, effective remediation plans
- Track, challenge and ensure timely delivery of actions
Governance & Stakeholder Engagement
- Establish and chair key governance forums for risk, control and issue management
- Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
- Provide clear, insightful reporting and escalation where required
Data, Reporting & Insight
- Produce high-quality outputs and MI for senior stakeholders, including the CIO
- Deliver a holistic view of risk, governance, compliance and regulatory exposure
- Use data to identify trends, drive decisions and improve the control environment
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- Strong background in Operational Risk, Controls or Risk Frameworks (RCSA)
- Proven experience managing issue remediation and governance processes
- Experience working within Data, Analytics, Technology or similar environments
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
Leadership
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Ability to drive accountability and performance in a complex environment
Skills
- Strong analytical and risk assessment capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate complex risk concepts into clear, actionable insights
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving structure
