We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk Consulting team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We will count on you to:
- Contribute to the development of thought leaderships, market updates, and new insights on industry developments through advanced data analytics, experimentation and creative research approaches to foster innovation.
- Design robust, executable research studies using strong research fundamentals; select appropriate quantitative and qualitative methods and ensure alignment with MMC professional standards.
- Use and advance research tools and techniques, exploring novel methodologies to answer complex questions and accelerate insight generation.
- Synthesize findings into clear, compelling outputs (reports, publications, presentations) that influence internal stakeholders and external audiences.
- Build and expand a portfolio of proprietary knowledge assets, including methodologies, datasets, frameworks and published content.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with stakeholders, marketing teams and C&S partners to align research with global thought leadership agendas and commercial priorities.
- Liaise with internal and external subject matter experts to source perspectives, validate results and plan follow-up studies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with specialty teams to produce client-centric thought leadership and bespoke industry updates.
- Combine quantitative and qualitative evidence to form well-grounded inferences and practical recommendations.
- Conduct thorough, sector-specific research to enhance current solutions and strengthen the value proposition for clients.
- Communicate proactively, responsively and clearly to ensure timely delivery, stakeholder confidence and agile project management.
- Share best practices, new methods and tools across the broader Marsh thought leadership community to raise capability and consistency.
What you need to have:
- Masters / Bachelors in Economics or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) / Statistics / Econometrics etc. equivalent post-graduation certification from a reputed institute
- 6 to 8 years of experience in risk advisory, research (quantitative and qualitative | secondary) experience, at a leading professional services / consulting firm / market intelligence / research firm
- Experience in consulting projects and conducting independent secondary research
- Deep understanding of global marketplace, key trends, economic and geo-political developments, technological developments, global supply chain, and key business and financial risks
- Exposure to Generative AI tools: Broad understanding of Generative AI tools which can be utilized in the research process is preferable.
- Strong ability to weave a story using multiple data points. Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills
- Able to leverage key statistical tools and technologies —Statistics, SQL,Gen-AI, SAS, R, SPSS and visualisation tools to identify the insights hidden within huge volumes of numeric and textual data
- Strong foundation of qualitative and quantitative research including clarity on statistical concepts with ability to translate data into meaningful insights
- Strong understanding of strategy frameworks (Porter’s 5 forces, BCG Matrix, Mckinsey 7s etc.) and their applications in bringing out cutting edge insights
- Extensive exposure to information databases such as: S&P Cap IQ, Merger Market, Factiva, and open source datasets etc.
- Great written and verbal communication
- A team player with extraordinary interpersonal skills
- Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
