Mt. Logan Capital Management, Ltd. (the “Company” or “Mt. Logan”) is an exempted company incorporated with limited liability and registered as an Insurance Manager in Bermuda. The Company has been formed as an Insurance Manager for Special Purpose and Collateralized Insurers that offers capital markets investors the opportunity to gain exposure to the risk-reward profile of diversifying, non-correlated (re)insurance risks via privately offered insurance linked securities. Mt. Logan is an Everest Group, Ltd. (NYSE:EG) company.
The Company is expanding and is looking a dynamic, qualified CA/CPA to join the Finance team. The Financial Accountant is a new role and will provide support in all facets of finance function for both the Company and managed entities, including reinsurance accounting, reporting to internal management, regulatory authorities and investors. The successful candidate will report to the Financial Controller.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements and reporting schedules
- Review of (re)insurance contracts and maintain reinsurance accounts
- Preparation of bank reconciliations, cashbooks and reinsurance analysis reports
- Help maintain a number of accounting ledgers
- Support the internal audit, external audit, statutory reporting and GAAP reporting processes
- Assist with the implementation of operational improvements and changes to relevant policies, procedures and processes
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Various ad hoc projects and duties, as required
Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- An internationally recognized accounting designation preferred (ACA, CMA, CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
- 2+ years relevant post qualification experience within the Financial Services industry, experience in re(insurance) and investment management preferred
- Knowledge of the Bermuda insurance market and regulatory environment is preferred
- High level of competency with Microsoft Office and the aptitude to learn various systems
- Extremely strong analytical ability, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects
- Flexibility to work evenings, holidays and weekends, as required
The base salary range for this position is $116,000 - $165,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
