Stryker is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the development and support of the SmartCare platform, including cloud services, web applications, and mobile solutions. This leader will combine strong technical expertise with proven people leadership to deliver high-quality software, drive engineering excellence, and advance adoption of AI-enabled development practices within a regulated healthcare environment. 

What You Will Do:

 Leadership & Delivery 

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing software engineering team responsible for SmartCare products and legacy clinical workflow solutions. 
  • Drive execution across the software development lifecycle, from architecture and development through release and operational support. 
  • Define team strategy, priorities, staffing plans, and delivery objectives aligned with business goals. 

Product & Technical Leadership 

  • Partner with Product Management, UX, Support, Customer Excellence, Escalations and DevOps to deliver customer-focused solutions. 
  • Shape product and technology roadmaps across cloud, web, and mobile platforms. 
  • Lead technical discussions and architectural decisions that improve scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability. 

Quality & Customer Success 

  • Ensure reliable, secure, and high-quality product releases across cloud and mobile platforms. 
  • Drive application performance, availability, usability, and security. 

What You Will Need:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years of engineering leadership and people management experience. 
  • Proven experience leading distributed teams delivering cloud, mobile, and SaaS products at scale. 
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and event-driven architectures (Kafka)
  • Understanding of mobile architecture, CI/CD, release management, app store deployment, and mobile security best practices. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on development experience with Java, Kotlin, Swift, or similar modern programming languages.
  • Experience delivering enterprise mobile applications for iOS and Android; knowledge of React Native or Flutter.
  • Familiarity with emerging AI technologies, including RAG, prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and secure deployment of AI-enabled applications. 

  


  • US10: $171,500 - $285,700 USD Annual
