Church & Dwight is seeking a Senior Manager, R&D Product Development to join our team. This role provides leadership and technical expertise in the development of regulated medical device and homeopathic products, including design, formulation, verification/validation, and commercialization.
About the RoleThe Senior Manager, R&D Product Development will lead teams to deliver a robust product pipeline that meets consumer needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives while ensuring product quality, safety, and compliance.
Work EnvironmentHybrid: The role will be based in Princeton, NJ and requires in-person attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work options on Mondays and Fridays.
Role Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesLead group by managing workload, daily project execution, and prioritization across medical device and homeopathic product development programs.
Supervise and mentor team members, including performance management and people development activities.
Develop and deliver the R&D portfolio and innovation pipeline to support business growth, regulatory compliance, and global expansion.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with Regulatory, Quality, Clinical, Marketing, Operations, and Manufacturing to ensure successful project execution.
Conduct product development from concept through design transfer and commercialization, including pilot-scale work and manufacturing scale-up.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and quality systems (e.g., Design Controls, ISO 13485, FDA/cGMP), including proper development documentation (e.g., Design History Files, specifications, and technical reports).
Identify and communicate technical and regulatory risks and implement mitigation strategies early in development.
Represent R&D leadership in internal and external forums, including interactions with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and professional organizations as needed.
Support budgeting, resource planning, and technical strategy development for the product categories.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline required.
10+ years of laboratory experience, or Ph.D. with 7+ years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of supervisory/management experience.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $149,700 - $213,200. This position is also eligible for a bonus.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
