Are you ready to help advance healthcare innovation? J&J is recruiting for a Senior Manager reporting to QC Operations.

We are seeking a multifaceted and motivated colleague to lead, support, coordinate, and handle projects and the implementation of digital lab transformation for Advanced Therapies (AT). Position can be based in Springhouse or Malvern.

The position will support the digital transformation for the J&J labs. The laboratory mission is to increase lab reliability through automation of processes and reduction in manual transcription of data, improved electronic control and data capture, delivering Data Integrity and Efficiency.

The paperless lab program will enable an unmatched analyst experience, accelerate introduction of new products, promote innovation, and enable data analytics, intelligent automation and ensure end to end data connectivity including integrated Quality.

This role will be essential in ensuring the successful execution of projects, improving systems and data management, and delivering efficient solutions to our customers, the Quality Control Labs in J&J AT.

Key responsibilities:
  • Drive globally digital lab transformation implementation for new and existing products including: process standardizations, automation design, digital setup and project management oversight

  • Lead, guide and support internal teams and local site subject matter experts

  • Align data structures of Lab Systems to improve accessibility of data and compliance and manage implementation and innovation projects

  • Provide leadership to customer network teams linked to lab systems, drive harmonization and continuous improvement with the goal of crafting global, lean and standardized processes that enable the business to operate in the most efficient way

  • Lead complex projects

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required with a focus on Physical / Life Science, IT focus preferred. Advanced degree preferred

Experience and SkillsRequired
  • 8+ years of related experience including at least one of the following:

  • Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Analytical Testing, or IT, including experience working in pharmaceutical or highly regulated industry.

  • Previous Quality or Lab Systems experience helpful

  • Business oriented, independent, and driven with demonstrated ability in a regulated medical industry (Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, or Diagnostics)

  • Solid understanding inside a quality organization, across various roles (e.g., quality operations, quality control, quality systems, etc.) and

  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable regulations

  • Ability to build and nurture positive relationships with business partners with excellent negotiation, partnering and influencing skills

  • Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills as well as the ability to meet due dates using an open, collaborative, interactive leadership style

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking capabilities, ability to define a vision for the future required to translate vision to strategy, and strategy to execution

  • Attention to detail and proven problem solving, logical thinking and troubleshooting skills with demonstrated critical thinking capabilities

  • Ability to independently manage multiple issues, prioritize and bring up to management as vital using project management tools

  • Demonstrate knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and business case calculation.

  • Proficient in English

Preferred
  • Proven experience directly and/or indirectly leading a group of professionals to achieve business objectives

  • Direct working knowledge of the business environment outside of the quality organization (e.g., manufacturing, product / process development, technical services / engineering, customer service, etc.)

  • Skills in laboratory management system (eLIMS) and master data

  • Process Excellence (6-Sigma) certification is preferred

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$120,000-$207,000 USD$

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
