What you'll do...

Develop and execute end-to-end quality strategies for assigned product categories, translating customer expectations and enterprise objectives into clear quality standards for the business. Champion continuous improvement and innovation by leveraging industry-leading practices and driving initiatives that enhance quality performance, efficiency, and speed to market. Set the quality standards for new and existing items by selecting ensuring test methods and specifications are risk-based and aligned to customer expectations. Establish and lead quality performance governance, leveraging customer feedback, supplier performance metrics, and quality indicators to drive business reviews and inform decision-making to lead category-level improvement roadmaps Lead the resolution of complex quality challenges by driving root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and sustainable solutions that address issues across products, suppliers, and processes. Serve as a trusted quality advisor to Product, Brand, and Sourcing partners—clarifying expectations, providing data-driven recommendations, embedding customer expectations and quality into key milestones from concept to launch. Drive supplier quality excellence programs with stakeholders by establishing clear expectations, capability building initiatives, performance standards, and risk-based accountability models that improve long-term outcomes. Lead quality readiness and risk management for product launches by ensuring appropriate validation strategies are completed at the right milestones, results are interpreted with sound judgment, and risks are proactively addressed before commercialization.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., chemistry, biology, engineering, or related field to food, consumer packaged goods or general merchandise).
  • 10+ years of quality assurance experience within retail/consumer products, with demonstrated ownership of quality programs, supplier performance, and customer experience outcomes
  • Strong foundation in preventive quality systems (GMPs, CAPA, risk assessment) and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment while balancing business priorities with quality risk
  • Strong analytical, Ai usage and critical-thinking skills; able to translate testing, supplier, and customer data into insights, priorities, and clear recommendations
  • Executive-ready communication and stakeholder management skills to influence decisions across Product, Brand, and Sourcing—often without direct authority
  • Strong relationship-building skills with associates, suppliers, and third-party service providers to drive accountability and sustained performance
  • Strong proficiency with quality data and digital tools (Excel, Power BI, Ai tools) to build dashboards, automate reporting, and enable proactive risk management
