Job Responsibilities:

Massiv Die-Form, a division of Magna International, designs and builds medium to large cast automotive and hot stamping dies. Massiv Die-Form is proudly committed to manufacture products of the highest quality, reliability, maintainability and durability for the global automotive market through skilled and dedicated people focused on total customer satisfaction, ongoing protection of the environment and the profitable well-being of our company.

Hourly Rate: $44.51 - $58.22

Vacancy Status: Immediate Open Position

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain documentation record of complete die program.

  • Work directly with Outsource Design vendors (RFQ, Kickoff, Reviews, Corrections and Release)

  • Drive Internal and Customer Design reviews.

  • Drive Continuous improvement and technical standard changes.

  • Release All Designs for Manufacturing

  • Check Die Designs form external Vendors.

  • Complete design dies or changes internally when required.

  • Drive improvement using internal QAS Re-work System.

  • Support sales, engineering and manufacturing related to Engineering changes

  • Determine machining process and report areas of dies to be machined.

  • Provide technical support to FEA Team / Program Management, Tooling, and Sales Departments throughout the die manufacturing process.

  • Support and prepare packaging studies for quote stage.

  • Responsible for applicable QMS policies, procedures and work instructions.

  • Perform other reasonable duties as required and assigned.

  • Responsible to carry out duties for Health, Safety, and Environment in accordance with the HS&E Agreement for Employees – Addendum

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Day shift work and overtime required.

SPECIFICATIONS AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of degree or certificate program in Technical/Mechanical Engineering Program or equivalent

  • Knowledge of automotive sheet metal stamping

  • Full working knowledge of Catia, Unigraphics (NX), or equivalent software

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc

  • Knowledge of CAM, CNC machining and die making methods considered an asset

  • Experience in reverse engineering from scanned mesh (STL data) considered an asset

  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills required

  • Ability to interpret blueprints or die process & solid designs required.

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

  • Orientation, WHMIS, Fire Extinguisher Training, Smirtware, Tebis, 5S, QEMS, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 Awareness training (see EMS training matrix).
