Job Description:
Key Responsibilities- Actively participate in and drive end-to-end solution testing using real hardware/firmware infrastructure, spending hands-on time conducting functional and non-functional testing solutions
- Personally develop, review, and refine comprehensive QA test plans covering functional, integration, and system-level testing scenarios for both firmware and hardware layers
- Design and execute black-box and grey-box testing to validate functional requirements, uncover edge cases, and perform deep-level debugging of issues
- Develop and contribute to test automation frameworks, scripts, and infrastructure; actively code automation solutions for complex testing scenarios
- Lead and mentor a Solutions QA team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, quality ownership, and continuous improvement
- Establish and enforce quality gates and acceptance criteria aligned with product requirements, risk analysis, and business objectives
- Collaborate daily with engineering and design teams to understand implementation details, identify testability challenges, and coordinate comprehensive testing strategies
- Plan, track, and manage QA tasks and team workload, ensuring realistic timelines and resource optimization while maintaining hands-on involvement
- Conduct regular status reporting to leadership with quality metrics, test coverage analysis, identified risks, and mitigation strategies
- Identify and implement process improvements and enhanced methodologies to strengthen testing effectiveness and efficiency
- 10+ years of hands-on QA engineering experience, with 5+ years specifically in hardware or firmware/embedded systems testing, plus team leadership experience
- Extensive hands-on experience with firmware and embedded systems testing, including driver-level, protocol-level, and system integration testing
- Demonstrated expertise in writing and executing functional and non-functional test cases, test automation scripts, and test frameworks
- Strong practical experience with black-box and grey-box testing methodologies, including hardware debugging and root cause analysis
- Extensive hands-on experience conducting end-to-end solution testing using real hardware infrastructure and test benches (not simulation-only environments)
- Proven track record of successfully leading and growing high-performing QA teams while maintaining strong technical contributions
- Demonstrated experience in building AI tools for creating test-cases from requirements specification, and test execution using orchestration
- Proficiency in test automation languages/tools (e.g., Python, C, Tcl, SystemVerilog) with demonstrated ability to develop sophisticated test frameworks
- Strong project management skills, process ownership mindset, and excellent communication abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on technical experience
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in hardware testing environments
- Knowledge of debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems and hardware validation
- Experience with version control systems and test management tools
- Understanding of formal verification and simulation-based validation
- Agile/Scrum methodology experience
