Senior Manager, Project Management - Airports

As Head of Program Management for a dedicated region, your role involves turning strategic business goals into completed projects from start to finish.

You'll oversee a skilled team of project managers, leading a variety of global initiatives in a complex environment with many stakeholders. Part of your responsibility is making sure regulatory compliance projects are finished on schedule, within budget, and with a focus on the customer and revenue protection.

This key leadership position calls for vision, organization, drive, and the ability to coordinate teams across various functions and regions. As a senior leader, you will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional groups to deliver essential and strategic programs that influence the future direction of Amadeus AirOps Operations and its customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shape and execute the program management vision, aligning all projects with Amadeus AirOps’s strategic priorities and growth objectives.
  • Manage a portfolio of strategic project and program aimed at ensuring smooth travel throughout airports and border control areas.
  • Lead a global team of project managers, fostering high performance, accountability and collaboration.
  • Ensure effective end-to-end delivery of large-scale and strategic programs.
  • Lead cross-functional steering committees and provide executive-level visibility into project risks and remediation actions, dependencies, and opportunities.

People Leadership & Team Development

  • Inspire, develop, and mentor a team of project managers, cultivating a culture of collaboration, accountability and high performance.
  • Drive professional growth through best practices and learning path.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, deliver actionable feedback, and foster an environment of continuous improvement.

End-to-End Project Delivery

  • Oversee the successful delivery of large-scale, multi-product programs with significant financial, regulatory, and operational impacts.
  • Implement PMO standards, governance, and quality controls to ensure predictable, reliable results.
  • Champion structured risk and issue management, proactively communicating with stakeholders and driving mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement & Influence

  • Build and sustain trust-based relationships with senior executives, customers, and cross-functional partners.
  • Communicate complex information clearly and concisely, enabling timely and informed decision-making at all organizational levels.
  • Facilitate consensus and alignment across diverse teams, resolving conflicts and integrating multiple perspectives to advance shared objectives.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by implementing and evolving best practices in project and program management.
  • Drive standardization, governance and continuous improvement across processes, tools and reporting.
What we're looking for
  • Extensive experience in program management, delivering large-scale, multi-product programs. PMP certification is appreciated.
  • Experienced people manager: proven ability to inspire, motivate, and engage a team.
  • Skilled in leadership, influencing, networking, communication, accountability, and customer centricity.
  • Airport industry business acumen.
  • Fluent in English.
